Ok, watched the ECW dvd... and the 2 invasions were during a time when I didn't follow wrestling, so I missed them.

I understand the one where ECW show'd up at a WWE ppv, and Tazz jumped the rail and all... What matches did these lead up to? ie. WWF vs. ECW wrestlers?

Also, I saw where Lawler invaded ECW, my question is the clip just show'd lawler in the ring from the WWF, but RVD and other ECW guys going at it w/ each other... my obvious question is, if Lawler was the only guy and was invading ECW, why wouldn't the other ECW guys go after lawler rather then continue there fight?

RVD and them were with Lawler and were attacking Dreamer and some other ECW guys

Yeah, RVD, Sabu, and Alphonso were all together and they took out like the entire ECW lockeroom, which was cool because it made the 4 seem dangerous as hell.

Then Jim Cornette appeared in the ECW arena the next week I believe and joined with Lawler.

Was RVD, Sabu & Alphonso still on the ECW roster at the time? If that's the case, doesn't it seem silly to invade ECW w/ ECW? I mean, you think the WWE would have sent a few low card guys, I know Vince wouldn't want his uppercards on another show.

Interesting (from the DVD) that Lawler severly injured Dreamer (not intentionally) and actually left quickly because he was afraid of the ECW lockeroom.

Well RVD and Sabu, even though with ECW, had sold out and pled thier alligience to the WWF. Hence the whole "Mr. Monday Night" thing.

I thought the Mr Monday Night came from when he wrestled on Raw on week, then Nitro another?

Yeah, but I don't think Lawler intended the severe injury that came w/ it... Blood loss etc... owww... my groin hurts just typing about it...

k, To answer everyone's questions

Disturbed: RVD took up the name right after he joined up with Sabu in 1996. He was saying how he got offers from the two big companies (WCW AND WWF) and he just started using it. Then he showed up on Raw and the rest is history

Kris: RVD wrestled in WCW early on as a jobber named Robbie V

VEL: Lawler has always been a stiff worker, which means, he'll really hit you and hard. It's just an old school way of working I guess. You remember Summerslam 93 when he whacked Bret with the septar. Bret said he thought he broke his back when he hit him.

Lawler definately didn't intend to injure Dreamer that bad, but he probably swung the thing with all he had

But that wasn't around '98 when the WWF/ECDUB "invation" was going on..

The Invasion was going in 96. He never wrestled for WCW after the early 90's.

Ner..

It was '98.. I'll check the DVD after the Saints game to be certain but I'm pretty sure it was 97-98 because it lead to ECDUB's first PPV (in 98)..

How did the whole Dreamer/Lawler feud turn out?

And when did RVD/Sabu turn face against Lawler?

I think a big problem with this is calling it an invasion. When ECW invade WWF TV, it was done in true invasion fashion. They didn't want to take over or anything like that, they just wanted to get in the WWF fan market and show them up. Now Jerry Lawler comming down to ECW wasn't an invasion at all, it was simple an appearance by someone who (lagit) didn't like there brand and actually in a somewhat odd move, they took the one guy in the WWF who liked them the least both on and off screne and let him come down to completly berate them...it did serve though to give the feeling that absolutly anything could happen in ECW...an attitude which continued to the day it ended.
