- Abyss quit TNA last night at the Impact! tapings in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. His contract with the company had already expired and that, for some reason, was not noticed by TNA officials for a possible renewal. Many feel he is headed to the WWE very soon. His name still appears on the "Superstars" page over at TNAwrestling.com.

Johnny Swinger also asked for his release from the company last night. It isn't known if he got it or not, as Jeff Jarrett turned down anyone under contract that had asked for their release to this point so far.

We hope to have more on this situation as it develops.

- To add on the story we had up on WrestleView last night (Click Here), it appears Abyss confronted TNA officials about getting a raise at the Impact! tapings on Tuesday night in Orlando, FL. He claimed to have gotten an offer from WWE and was later sent home from the tapings.

Because of this taking place on such short notice, officials ended up running around and changing the taping schedule at the last second. Abyss (whose real name is Chris J. Parks) was scheduled to talk with TNA officials yesterday about possibly staying with the company, but many expect him to leave. It should be noted that there is some heat on Bob Ryder regarding the situation as he is in charge of the contracts with all talent.

- Given the recent situation in TNA taking place with many contracted talent asking for their release but being denied, it appears both The Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt are coming towards the end of their contracts with the company.

- Christopher Daniels joined Mike Tenay & Don West on commentary at the Impact! tapings and could be a sign that Dusty Rhodes wants to give him a chance to get his personality over with the audience since he is in line to get a big push in the X Division.

- Jeff Hardy showed up very early on Tuesday to the Impact! tapings in Orlando, even before catering was set up for the event. Many feel he has finally started to take his warnings from the company seriously concerning his tardiness in the past. It is no secret many TNA workers grew angry with the company for giving him different treatment than others.

Sounds like some inner turmoil. Sounds like some of the talent leaving might hurt the company, though I don't pay enough attention to really know.

Although they will probably stay, it would be good to see Sonjay Dutt and The Amazing Red in the WWE.

No it wouldn't. Sonjay would probably be the butler of Daivairi and Amazing Red would be on Velocity. Neither of them hardly talk at all on the mic so there's no way they'd get over.

I think Sonjay and Red will stay right where they are at.

Good to see Hardy waking up a little, but let's see if that stays that way first.

I don't know why they even have Swinger there to begin with, as he brings NOTHING to any promotion. IMO - they should deny his release, job him left and right and then give it to him.

As far as Abyss leaving goes, I don't really see it hurting TNA too much, but then again, at this stage - it certainly can't help it too much either. I don't know what contract he had from TNA, or what offer he got from WWE so I won't talk about it anymore.

But I guess one can expect wrestlers quitting as the TNA is constantly bringing old stars (like Nash, Hall, Macho Man, DDP) and push them instead using the talent they already have.

If you think about it, Abyss is a HUGE loss for them. Pretend that somebody who had never seen TNA before went to a TNA show. They see Abyss there. He definately stands out from the others. He's got the mask, the tatoo, the vest, he's huge. That person will remember Abyss when he/she goes home. A lot of the other guys look the same and people probably wouldn't remember most of them when he/she went home. Abyss was very unique as far as look goes and he really put a face to TNA. It sucks they won't have him anymore. Hell, I can't hum any other TNA theme except Styles and Abyss and I've seen TNA a lot.
