I wanna make a game. So here's how this will work. I can't make a game. No resources, no programing skills. But we can still buckle down and make a game right here. We'll devide certain jobs amongst whoever wants to waste time with me, and come up with a bit of a game document. We'll have story, presentation, controls, physics, art style, progression, and even various modes of play down. After we deliberate (get at each others throats), we'll post the finished game doc in a thread and see what the vid-game forum of TPWW thinks of our work.

I think it'll be educational.

Good, cause I was getting a little discouraged there. If no one else will give this a try, we can start talking about what type of game it will be and system it'll be best suited for (if not all three).

I'd suggest PC as it's easier to get dev kits for.

So are you actually wanting to make the game? Or just come up with ideas?

I guess I could give it a shot.I been told I'm good with coming up with concepts. If you are actually gonna try and create and program a game then i'm guessing it'll be a simple game?

For now, I can't afford DarkWare, my comp wouldn't even have the space. But conceptual ideas can be put together right here. We all read previews and reviews of games so accurate in words, it's like you played the game just by reading. So maybe we can come up with some very detailed and realistic (as far as games go).

Down:
Splaya
Cool King (For drinks)
Drakul
The One(?)
Hardcore UK (we could use some real term input)

Alright guys, shall we deligate..?

I cant program so I'm only good for story/characters/ideas.I'm actually considering coming up with game ideas etc as a career so this could be good practice.Kalyx triaD, you liked my other videogame idea.So you know I can come up with decent ideas.

Count me in there. If you are actually going to make a game, not only will it take money, but the time is unbelievable. It's hard enough to create a game when the people are right at the next desk, but just think about how hard it would be sending screens, concept drawlings, and models over the internet.

I've been coming up with a game by myself and it's not an easy task. Good luck though.

I think the thing to do would be for us guys (Splaya,Cool King,The One(?),Hardcore UK and myself) to work on the games characters and story etc and then maybe take it around and see if anyone would be interested.I doubt the likes of Konami will want it but theres plenty of smaller companies that could be interested if we did a good enough job.
Newgrounds.com owner,Tom Fulp, made Alien Hominid and now its out on PS2,GC and Xbox.So this sort of thing can work.Althought I think we shouldn't post info on TPWW cos you never know whos reading it :shifty:
lol,If we did finish it and took it around you know we would need a name lol

DS

He actually made a playable Alien Hominid before it anyone even thought of bringing it to console though. The reason they considered it for a console game was because of the version he had before.
