damnit.. i new i should have saved my money for the Rumble...
My Thoughts:
Okay, so I know my thoughts aren't apart of the common ones here, but everyone must agree that this PPV sucked ass. Seriously, I've watched alot of WWE programming and couldn't put it down like most people, but this was just awlful. There was no real build up, extremely crappy matches, and a World Championship match that could have given thousands of suprises and gave the ordinary. Seriously, I mean if something happen like a HBK heel turn, that would definately have me hooked for tomorrow. And if not that, Randy winning the title or even the extremely expected turn of Batiasta could have had me looking foward to Raw.
Seriously, I hate fucking WWE now. I swear if there was something better on Monday night, I would watch it. If WCW was still going and Nitro was on the air, I would watch that, because even the programming we insulted so much is better than the same old crap WWE keeps handing off to us. Thank god TNA is around now and kicking, or I would just hate wrestling right now.

I don't know why I got my hopes up for this. WWE drops the ball again. Well, that's a lie, I've come to the conclusion that they have dropped the ball so many times now that they are too lazy to even pick it up to begin with anymore.
If Raw tomorrow isn't the best Raw in a long time, and they don't do something unexpected, then, I believe it is time for me to boycott the WWE product.

Here's what I see the biggest problem to be, and why I wanted Edge to win... HHH Vs Orton has been done, both on ppv, and on Raw. The fans have seen it, it's not new. Batista Vs HHH for the first time would be a better WM main event... Now here's the problem... If Batista jobs to HHH, the build up was for nothing, and he's been pretty much screwed over. However, if Batista beats HHH and wins the world title, I honestly feel it's to early. If HHH wouldn't have won, those two could have fought without a title, giving Batista a win, and making him huge.
Oh well, lets hope for Jericho vs Benoit at WM, because they'll probably have nothing better going for them.
HHH won? Wrestlezone just reported Orton won.
lol at snitsky's theme startin goff with "it's not my fault"
and LMAO @ Daivari, when lawler kicked out he was like AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH as if he was having a heart attack, and then he fell to the floor ala flair when hassan kicked out of a move
i didn't do so well in tipsters.. 4/6 winners predicted correctly, and 0/5 for the elimination order :(

Maybe they're doing like a Randy Orton type of thing. You know how at Summerslam everyone was all happy for him and then at the end of the match on Raw Batista and Triple H acted all happy. And then Triple H gave Batista a motion and dropped him. Maybe they're going kinda with the same angle for tomorrow.

Yeah. Totally agree with you 100% about Batista. It should be Batista/HHH at Mania for the Title. No if's and's or but's. That's the money match.
LOL Wrestlezone said Orton was the winner of the match, and I ignored the part that said "HHH rolls over Orton to get the three count", retards.
Anyway I was 90% sure HHH was walking out champion so he can job the title to Batista or Orton at Mania. It's likely now that they're pushing Orton as much as they are Batista so they'll probably do the triple threat.

Well.. what a freakin' surprise. Triple H is the champ. God, what I wouldn't give to have Captain Charisma world champion instead. Oh, well.. wrestling has failed in giving the fans what they want.
WrestleMania better make up for this crap given to us for the past few months, though I will admit JBL is sounding like a better champion than HHH. Remember, you aren't great for being a 11 time champ, it only means that you've lost it that many.

Revolution results
Tag champs Regal/Eugene beat Christian and Tomko
Notes:Eugene suffered a dislocated knee(legit) but was able to roll up Tomko

Notes:Same thing that happened to Eugene happened to Lita(knee injury) this was early on though which caused a quick unexpected finish.A trish chick kick for the three
IC Champ Shelton Benjamin defeated Maven twice
Notes:Benjamin beat him in 15 seconds the first match(roll up) then Maven demanded a rematch and got beat with the T-bone finisher in 15 seconds
Muhammed Hussan defeated Lawler
Notes:Horrible Match with Hussan winning with Kanyon's flatliner finisher
Kane beat Gene Snitsky
Notes:Kane wins by Tombstone
HHH wins the world title over Randy Orton,Batista,Chris Jericho,Chris Benoit and Edge.
Notes:Edge speared HBK(sprecial ref) by accident but then started slapping HBk after he had speared Orton but was unable to count it.Hbk hit Edge with sweet chin music and then Jericho hit a lionsault Edge gone,Batista spine bustered Benoit then he did it to Jericho who landed on top of Benoit,Batista pins Benoit.Benoit gone.Jericho gets Batista bombed.Jericho gone,RKO on Batista(HHH can break it up but decides to slump in the corner instead.Batista gone.Flair comes in after they open the doors to get Batista out,Orton RKO's HHH,HBK punches Flair but while he does this Batista lays Orton out with a huge clothsline,Flair and Batista leave and HHH hits the pedigree on an unconscious Orton.Orton gone

AND Red Hot Scott: They needed to give the belt to HHH tonight because they need a babyface to win the Title at Mania. That's been the formula countless times. They had to give it to HHH to at least let him have the belt for a couple of months before he jobs it again. Even though he should of never had it taken away from him in the first place.

SO this is why I never order PPV'S.
A Triple Threat would suck. Make it one on one. I don't know who though.... either Orton or Batista.
Ideally it should be HHH/Batista like WWKD and LC said since it would draw the most, but the triple threat isn't so bad either. It's all three Evo members facing off so there is a lot of emotion in the match. Flair is caught between HHH/Batista. Both Orton and Batista have been pushed as title contenders (Batista is the legit contender though). And at this point, leaving either Orton or Batista out of a match vs. HHH at Mania would really hurt one of them.

Damn, I only got 2 of my predictions right. I was WAY off on the EC, but damn.
Anyway, Tonight my fears came true of what my concern was about have a PPV a couple of weeks before the Royal Rumble. Luckily, none of the Chamber match participants got injured, but they still have some injuries to deal with which might change the game plan a little bit. (I know Eugene or Lita aren't winning the Rumble, but you get the point)

JR said HHH was a 10 time champ? Knowing JR he fucks things up, but which is it? 10 or 11?
My god, the Hassan/Lawler match was like in slow-motion or something. Dear god it was bad. I blame Lawler, but he's also done even better than that in the recent past. Don't know what was up.
Davari was hilarious at ringside. Yelling, jumping around. "Shut up JR you slobbering fat piece of crap!"
Lousy PPV, the EC match I thought was good up until it came down to the final three. I didn't want any of them to win it, although I wasn't surprised it would be them.
Odd that both Eugene and Lita blew out their knees. Wonder if Eugene being out for a while will be the end of the gimmick and what's the deal with the tag titles?
Sick Tombstone on Snitsky by Kane. Best part of that match.
Oh, and Shelton/Maven was a surprise. Maven was good on the mic I thought, but WTF at it being so short TWICE? Maybe they didn't want to risk either of them getting injured after the previous two matches? Dunno.
Blah PPV, I took a chance knowing it prolly wouldn't be that good but I really wanted to see the EC so I can't really complain.
Still getting the Rumble.
Now gonna go watch 24 I taped.

HHH won? Wrestlezone just reported Orton won. Before Batista is able to get out of the ring he helps HHH. Flair runs in the ring while the cage door is open. Orton hits the RKO, but Flair distracts the ref and then Batista drills Orton.
Orton is knocked out. HHH barely gets to his feet as HBK tries to get Flair and Batista out of the ring. HHH then hits the pedigree and rolls over on Orton and gets the three count. Winner: Randy Orton

sweet guys on the PWInsider.com radio show answered my question
Mr. Nerfect
01-10-2005, 12:00 AM
I was fairly disappointed with the card. They made Hassan look too weak! How the Hell are we supposed to take him seriously if he can't kick out of Lawler's DDT (No matter how powerful it looked, Hassan should have gotten his foot on the rope under his own power). And what is up with him using the Downward Spiral? I really don't see why they didn't have him use The Finishing Touch.
BTW, what is the point of having him use the Camel Clutch? That move is used by every Arab character and his dog. He really should have put Jerry in the surfboard to soften him up for The Finishing Touch.
And Daivari looked weak in this match also. He could have at least looked like he was about to kick JR's ass, instead of running. I'm going to find it hard to take these guys seriously until Hassan gets to really go (he looked just about ready to snap and break out in this match, but he refrained and put on the crapfest they wanted), and both guys look like THREATS.
The Elimination Chamber was predictable, and I think the only saving thing about it was the action it contained. I'm a bit upset we didn't see a German Suplex through the "plexiglass" or something like that. Let's take a look at these eliminations, as well:
1. Edge
Good pick for the first elimination. He could go so easily without losing heat. He actually gains it, since HBK cost him the match. I'm glad Jericho got the pin, but it was the only Lionsault of the match. It's a shame, because there were so damn many in the first Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series 2002.
Anyway, it looks like Edge will do well in the Rumble, until HBK eliminates him, leading to Edge snapping, and us having Edge vs. HBK at Mania. Edge should go over cleanly, and we'll FINALLY have another top heel that they can shift the World Heavyweight Championship to as early as possible.
2. Chris Benoit
This wasn't the worst move, but it could have been better. I would have liked to have seen Benoit kick out of the Spinebuster, which leads to Batista snapping and throwing Benoit outside. Benoit makes a comeback, keeps ramming Batista into a chamber cell again and again until it smashes, then we see Batista explode back with a Clothesline. Batista Bomb on the outside, Benoit is eliminated, he looks strong, Batista looks strong, everyone goes home happy.
I don't know what they have planned for Benoit & Jericho at Mania, but to be honest they may as well have Benoit & Regal, or Benoit & Jericho take over as World Tag Team Champions since Eugene is injured. Eric Bischoff should jump at the chance (from a storyline point of view) to get new World Tag Team Champions.
3. Chris Jericho
Who couldn't they just have him outlive Batista in this match. I think Jericho has come in thrid place in each previous Chamber, so they should have at least given Jericho some consistancy. I loved Jericho in this match, and I could almost feel an upset. Jericho took the only Batista Bomb of the match, and it was good of him to take that honour.
Jericho, like Benoit, has absolutely no direction for Mania, so they may as well put the World Tag Team Championship on him and Benoit (or Edge & HBK).
4. Batista
It was good he went where he was, and the fans hated it, but it's better they keep Batista vs. Triple H until Mania. That is all I have to say. Except I hope Batista wins the Royal Rumble.
5. Randy Orton
Thank God he didn't win the title. The only way I could stomache Orton as World Champion again, is if it is on SmackDown!, or if he went back to being an arrogant heel. The fans aren't buying into Orton as well as the WWE would hope, as he got quite a lot of boos, and he was right up there with Triple H in their poll "Who do you not want to see win the Chamber at NYR?". I would have taken Triple H over Orton anyday.
How hard would it have been to put the title on Jericho, then have it switch hands at the Royal Rumble back to Triple H? The saving grace of the finish was the shoulders/thumbs part. It got me really excited, but it didn't make sense for them to betray Triple H there. Maybe Orton can win the title from Triple H at RR, join a new heel Evolution, then Batista wins the Rumble, and we have Orton vs. Batista at Mania?
Nah Triple H vs. Batista works better. Randy Orton vs. The Rock might be on the card as well. And Muhammad Hassan vs. Chris Jericho.

This was only the 4th WWE Pay Per View I have ever missed. I'm contemplating only ordering the big 4 from now on. It was pretty obvious that Triple H would win anyway...
The ONLY reason for the whole "Whose the world champ" storyline was because Orton could never get another shot at the title as long as Triple H was champion. Triple H technically lost the title, new title reign, now he can have a shot at WrestleMania. It was actually a pretty decent idea IMO.

How does this sound? The WWE brings up Kousin Krazy from OVW (because he sort of looks like Eugene) as "Eustace" and has him fill in temporarily as William Regal's tag team partner. Just for kicks and giggles.
Or you could have William Regal use a "hometown hero" as his tag team partner, and use that as a way to explore indy talent, while getting them some recognition since they're defending Eugene's side of the World Tag Team Championship. Maybe Regal can even let them get the pinfall after he cleans house.
Or there's that young English guy in OVW that they could give a tryout. Not Paul Burchill (I think that's his name), but another young rookie.

I was really getting behind Maven as a heel at NYR. He was getting SO much heat. What exactly did he do again to draw it? I'm pretty sure he just showed up. But someone (I think it was LC) said that Maven was reminding them as an old school Rocky Maivia or something. I have to agree. The heat Maven was getting was uncanny.
And then they had to go and ruin it by jobbing him out not once, but TWICE. Why? I have no clue, because Shelton Benjamin wasn't getting much of a reaction, so it wasn't exactly for pops.
They could have at least had the first match take place, then have Maven cheat to win the second one after a match where these two guys actually do something worthwhile.
I still can't get over that heat. I think it was the most of the night if I'm not mistaken (the fans might have been pretty pissed after the main event).

I absolutely agree. I just wanted to clarify. Over the last decade or so, Vince is convinced that face-chasing-heel is the only way to go, so it was clearly going to go that way.
I wouldn't mind an Edge title reign. At this point, he's the only RAW main eventer (with the possible exception of Batista) who isn't un-believeable as World Champion due to burial. Maybe Orton down the line, once they've done a bit of damage control.

Well, I got a chance to see the PPV, and like many others I couldn't believe how bad it was. Started off with the exact injury happening to 2 people, we saw Hassan's debut look flat (he starts off the match with the same move), Kane gave a monster looking tombstone to Snitsky, then of course HHH wins the title. Like others on this board, I'm mainly upset that after all they went through in the last month, it goes right back to the person who had it to begin with.
I don't even know when this is ending. As much as I hate to say it, HHH will probably retain at WM. The guy who dominates more than anyone is gonna lose the main event 2 years in a row? Sorry but I just don't see that happening.

I can't believe i stayed up for this rubbish.Even randy orton beating batista and hhh woudl've made it worth watching. Or even Batista winning. It was a joke how they teased y2j winning it though, i mean like how they kept saying it was 3 years since he had been champion, and he lasted so long gave me abit of hope until Batista came in. Where the fuck are they going with that batista-hhh storyline now?
Maybe what i would do is have Batista finally get sick of HHH and turn against him. Have HHH turn face(not sure how but considering the standing ovation he got last night it shouldn't be to hard)and defend the title against Edge at the Rumble. Batista then costs HHH the title and Edge is the champ. Then you can have them face each other at wrestlemania. Or possibly like ive said before, make it a four way match between Batista/HHH/Edge and Orton and have Orton win.
This is the only thing that would interest me as there main event right now, they have to come up with something different instead of orton/hhh, cos if thats the main event then i refuse to order it.(we have to pay for wrestlemania in the UK this year)

Ha, my sister asked how the PPV was and I told her about the two injuries. Heres her reaction to Eugene's
"A dropkick...isn't that like an easy move?"
It sucks for Eugene. I saw on the replay that he landed on his knee at an angle, so the dislocation could have happened easily.

I stayed up to watch raw live the other night and was really ready to give wrestling na second chance and get into it again, but the way they handled that ppv, it was just awrful

I disagree with a few things here. I agree that Triple H is probably the best bet as World Heavyweight Champion heading into WrestleMania, but it's not like they have no more events on the road there. You could have easily put the title on Jericho, then have Triple H win the title at the Royal Rumble (the second biggest PPV of the year in some people's minds). It would have done better as far as buys go, and it wouldn't have turned away anyone. Sure Jericho would be the shortest reigning World Heavyweight Champion of all time, but just seeing him win the Elimination Chamber would have made the event worth buying.
If the DVD sales for NYR are low, it will be no wonder why. One good match with a sad and predictable ending. Even my nine year old relative goes "That was a bad ending." when the match was over, and he loves Triple H.
I also don't think Edge would make a great World Champion right now. He's over, but they've made him seem like that heel that claims he deserves to be there, but hasn't proved it yet. Let him go over someone like HBK cleanly, then he'll make a great World Champion. :y:
Seriously, the only other things on this PPV that got me excited where Val Venis, Rob Conway & Sylvain Grenier showing some kind of personality, Rosey swimming in the pool with his superhero's outfit on (LOL!) and last, but not least, my favourite line from the PPV "Tomko, kick his ass!". Christian is great, and it looked like the tag team match with Tomko, Regal, Eugene and himself was going to be something good. Of course then there was Maven's promo, which was great (but not many people share my sentiments), but the matches just deflected everything Maven had going for him. I actually found it quite funny when JR was getting us ready for Hassan/Lawler and you could see Maven walking to the back, like 5 minutes after the Exploder. I was almost expecting him to wave to the camera he became such a joke.
And what's this? They put Maven in the main event of Survivor Series, then they can't have him wrestle at leats 5 minutes with Shelton Benjamin, who is extremely gifted in the ring?
There were so many things wrong with this PPV, and while the EC was a great match, it seemed so lacking in drawing my interest in future editions of RAW. I am almost tempted to think they're trying to turn some of their fans to SmackDown!, but nah, when has the WWE ever done anything for SmackDown!?
This is a feeling I've never felt towards the WWE before. I have been supportive of nearly all their programming. This is the first-time I've ever felt like their puppet, though. I'm going to watch RAW, and I'm going to watch SmackDown!, and I'm going to order the Royal Rumble, and now it seems so damn painfully obvious that that is all the WWE cares about. It seems they've lost their passion for their own product.
All I can say is I hope TNA keeps on going strong, because God knows the WWE needs competition to make them care how they build their shows.

So, I wake up and I'm pissed that I forgot to order/record the PPV, thought I did.
then I read the results and thank god.
2 injuries.
a pointless King match.
Coach on the Mic.
A pointless IC match.
Snitskeys buildup killed.
A horrible screw job ending, the only thing the main event did was setip a hbk v. edge match? WTF.
Can't blame the WWE for injuries, but even w/o those 2 matches couldn't have saved this crap.

Oh my god.. Stop giving Trips the fucking title. I can't be the only one who's sick of seeing him with the gold around his waist/on his shoulder. This should all just stop.. STOP. No more Trips damnit.
