Cris Carter seems to think the Vikings will upset. This will be Tice's test right here, see if he is a good coach and have his team ready after a big win today. I would think that the Vikings are capable of winning, but not very likely to. TO being gone is going to let the Vikings stack up against the run, which they are slightly better at defending. The offense will have to be on top of its game though, they can't let up like they did in the third quarter today. The reason the Vikings started 6-0 last season and won the game today so convincingly is because they forced a lot of turnovers. That will be another key, to keep that up, because we all know our d can't stop anything without them.

Personally I would want TO to go down before Westbrooke. I mean it was absolutley terrible when we lost TO, but Westbrooke is so good coming out of the backfield as a reciever. He will be huge in the playoffs watch. Many of you may laugh but Freddie Mitchell I think will be our best wide reciever in the playoffs. It is going to be interesting to say the least what happens.

To be perfectly honest, of the four teams left I think the Falcons have the least chance of going to the Super Bowl.
1. Eagles
2. Vikings
3. Rams
4. Falcons
Reasoning being, if the Eagles beat the Vikings this weekend, then it proves that they are still in good condition and aren't rusty. If they beat the Vikes I think it proves that they are still the best team in the NFC hands down.
If the Vikings beat the Eagles, it means that they are for real. Early in the season they were on the Power Rankings at 4, so maybe they could be back there after the horrible end to the season. Then if they win at Phily, they would play in either Atlanta or St. Louis, both domes. If they go to Atlanta, there is still the chip on the shoulder from 1998, and St. Louis has never been as good as the Vikings all year really. The Vikings talent was supposed to do a lot better then they did, the Rams talent did about what they were supposed to.
The game in Atlanta is completely up for grabs, but regardless I don't think either team will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Atlanta is a defensive team, thats pretty much a fact, but they won't win a big game unless Vick has one of his outstanding games. When Vick is huge, they are huge, when he is not, they are just good. I don't think their record tells their whole story. So basically, if Vick has a big game against St. Louis, I don't think he will have another one in the NFC finals.
St. Louis could easilly come out on top from Atlanta next week, but I don't really think they will. They don't have a super talented team this season, they wouldn't have made the playoffs in any other division. They had the Seahawks number this season, and that is pretty much why they got into the playoffs. They were impressive beating the Jets and Seahawks, but they have a really poor secondary and their whole team is so thin I think they will be pretty beat up going into Atlanta. They are a nice story, but I don't see it lasting much longer.
Odds to represent NFC in Super Bowl:
Philadelphia: 1:4
Minnesota: 1:12
Atlanta: 1:14
St. Louis: 1:24

Well according to my ESPN video game, the Vikings will win the game on a last second field goal. The game will start out really fast on the Vikings part, and the Eagles will have a poor running game but break out huge passing plays to keep them in it. According to my video game at least.

That botched fake field goal WAS NOT RANDY MOSS's FAULT AT ALL! Jesus Cris Collinsworth and Joe Buck will say whatever they can to hate on Moss and the Vikings. It honestly gets rediculous. There was an extra lineman on the field (the one for the real FG), so if Moss stayed on the field they get penalized for 12 men on the field and then Collinsworth can bitch some more. Tice tried calling a time out, but the only thing they could do was tell Moss to get off the field.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Eagles make the Superbowl this year. I said it all along that the winner of this game makes the Superbowl, and my opinion has not changed. The Eagles had to prove that they could win without TO and that they weren't rusty, and they did that. The offense was far from spectacular, but the defense played so well. They just toyed with Pepper in the beginning, he couldn't tell what they were going to do, then they just played real solid all game.
Not only do I still think the Eagles are by far the top team in the NFC, the Falcons are also not very impressive at all if you ask me. Look at their schedule, their conference: Tampa Bay, New Orleans, and Carolina. In non-conference they played the 49ers, Cardinals, Dolphins, all the shittiest teams. They lost to Detroit, New Orleans, and Seattle. Their biggest wins were against the Chargers by one point before they were hot, against the Broncos, and against the surging Panthers. They got absolutely killed by Kansas City. I don't care what you say, they are a one man team. If Michael Vick doesn't run the ball and run it well, they will not win, and the Eagles are good enough to stop him.

That is the weakest cop-out I've ever heard. You cheer on your team all fucking year long, making tons of ridiculous claims, but then, after you're afraid they might lose, you badmouth them and say they're a bad team, so losing "isn't a big deal". Shut the fuck up, you are awful.

Eagles did win, but I don't know, Vikings really aren't good at all. I'm not impressed, we'll see what happens againest the Falcons.
BCWWF
01-17-2005, 01:06 AM
The Vikings do have the most explosive offense when it is healthy and on. They lost two offensive starters for the season in like week 2 and Michael Bennett was out most the year. We do in fact have a running back, in fact we have four of them and all of them are good, just since we have four none had outstanding stats, and we didn't use them much late in the game. If the Vikings offense is on like it was vs the Packers it is very good, but it can't make up for the shitty defense, and the offense makes too many mistakes this season. So explosive is right, it is either exploding or doing nothing.
Jesus Shuttlesworth
01-17-2005, 01:11 AM
Yeah I guess. Culpepper put up huge stats but I think the Colts WERE the most explosive offense this season (Until they came to Foxboro) but shutting down an 8-8 team isn't exactly something to be bragging about.
I'll be going for the Falcons in the NFC Champ game, I like Vick, and seeing the Eagles lose again would be hilarious.
BCWWF
01-17-2005, 01:18 AM
Ohhh I see where you are coming from, the Pats shut down the actual most explosive offense, thats true. The Pats did play awesome D, but the Colts game is already slowed down a bunch by that weather, I mean the game was like 6-3 into the third. Yeah you did just kick the ass of the most explosive team in the league, but the weather did help a little in the "shutting down" part. Do you agree?
In a dome I think the Colts would have won, but in normal outdoor weather I think the Patriots still would have won but not as decisively as they did. Regardless though, after that performance they look poised to take another Super Bowl, and I am cheering for them.
