Greetings everyone. This is an idea I had while browsing the music forum last week. Basically, I'm going to try to feature an artist every week (or every few weeks if school gets crazy) that most people here may not know about. I'll try to post up to 10 mp3s so you don't have to go to all the trouble of opening whatever program you steal music with. Also, feel free to suggest artists and I'll see about putting them up in future. Anyay, now that I've explained just what the hell I'm doing, let's get on with it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alpha Blondy

Alpha Blondy is from the Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in western Africa. He performs reggae music in Dioula, English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew. His music is heavily influenced by Bob Marley & The Wailers (later in his career Alpha Blondy recorded some albums with The Wailers), but his sound is distinctly African. I suggest that you start with Ragga Gangstar, Peace In Liberia and Marijuana if you can't download all of them in one sitting (talking to you 56Kers).

You will probably like some of his stuff if you like any of the following stuff: most forms of rock, hip hop (old school and stuff like Mos Def or Del The Funky Homosapien), Ragga, ska, some forms of punk and funk.

Instructions:
1. Right click and select "save as"
2. Rename files from .txt to .mp3

Most of those songs I listed sound pretty different. Some of that stuff sounds like the Wailers and other stuff is different.

Anyway, I'm gonna put up this week's artist in a minute, so if you want to get some more, I suggest Brigadier Sabari, since it's different from Ragga Gangstar.
