Great book about the '86 Mets. Just finished reading it, and what a bunch of assholes there guys were, the stories in there are great, destroying plane to bar fights, drugs, woman, pratcitcal jokes(Roger McDowell giving the first base coach a hot-foot while on the field and tellin the camera man to keep on his foot is classic) to drinking, drinking and more drinking. Great characters on this team but a bunch of self proclaimed cockey assholes. Being a lifelong Mets fan they have always been my favorite team(still have the newspaper article from that year. i was about 5).

Anyways great baseball book, Mets fan or not.

I don't even care anymore

Red Sox won the World Series this year, and came back after being down 0-3 to the Yankees. Never better will ever happen to me baseball wise ever.

Haha, it seems hard for you to care from the beginning, it happened when you were sub-1 years old.

Anyway, I checked at my bookstore because I want to read that one now. I have Pete Rose "My Prison Without Bars" waiting since October, so I might as well start that tonight. I finished Bobby Knight's autobiography a few days ago.

I always figured that a movie about a team of assholes winning would be awesome.

This would be a good catalyst.
