QUESTION - Why was the WWE jobbing Tazz in 2001 like a little bitch?

During the alliance/INVASION angle, why was the WWE making Tazz job in less than 20 seconds in his matches? Did he rape Stephanie McMahon or something backstage? :wtf:

Why was he being "punished"?

Was he actually being 'punished', or was he jobbing quickly due to his limited moveset? (i.e. suplexes were 90% of his moveset).

Still - why JOB him so much and so quickly?

Pretty sure it had to do with the legit beef between Taz and Lawler. I think Lawler had a fairly decent amount of say in creative at the time and he thought Taz was to small to be a worker, in spite of Taz still to this day being over like hell. Taz could work without using all his suplexes, but the problem was a lot of his moves were high impact. His crossfaces and slams for example.

It's just Vince/HHH/Steph not wanting to put over any outside talent because it would of made WWE look inferior.

In other words, the opposite of how to book any Invasion angle.

Maybe it went back to the ECW invasion in 97 when Lawler called Taz a midget and Taz came out to kick his ass

Nothing to do with Lawler. They are the land of the giants and they found them stumbled on a 5ft 6inch wrestler and were paying him over $350,000 a year (they have to be since he was making this in ECW) and probably just wanted him to quit. Problem is that NOBODY is quitting on that money (Raven excluded) and he was also over no matter how much they buried him.

Taz, ECW, 1998 - "Beat me if you can, stay alive if I let you"

Tazz, WWE Smackdown, 2005 - "Michael Cole, ass lick, ermmmm... monkey balls and.... yeh.... tomato juice. OFF THE HOOK!"

Stay alive, wasn't it Survive? :o

anyway I think it was because he was shorter than most and because like LC said "WWE doesn't want to look inferior", they should get their head out of their ass, they are number 1 they've won, forget all this "WWE is best bullshit" nobody is close enough to overtake them.

Think i read somewhere about angle complaining about a suplex he took from taz so the wwe made him not use them as much.

What Rob says is true. I also read somewhere, can't remember where, that it was supposed to be an angle where he was supposed to be mocked by other superstars until he blew a gasket on Austin, but several people complained that it would make Austin look bad since he was 5'6''. It would make sense since I remember Austin mocking Tazz on air during the Alliance.

I think he was held down the same way 90% of the WCW/ECW roster was held down.

I dont know what that reason is but Im sure it has something to do with ECW/WCW

They should let Heidenreich job to Tazz. Wasn't Tazz gonna "take on" Heidenreich a while back? That should happen.. choke out that little bitch. Then show people how to ACTUALLY do the Tazzmission, choke that little bitch Michael Cole out too..

Wait... haven't I seen that somewhere?
