Videogame players are now in a bad situation since EA bought exclusive rights to the NFL, and now it looks like free fantasy baseball on sites like Yahoo! and CNNSI could be coming to an end.

as the article said there is a gray area.
You can't own statistical data.
However, you also can't use someone name for marketing.
and they will argue that people play fantasy baseball to have names like "Barry Bonds" and w/o the names, people wouldn't play and hence no profit. Which will link the profit to the names which are owned by the MLBPA.
Can't really agrue with it. Legally it makes sense, you should have a say in who can profit off using your name.

Its true, just annoying :rant:
It's not like a player's statistical data is defamatory to his/her person. Why the hell is it such a big deal?
