Since Hollywood is releasing a shit load of super hero films every year I thought it wasn's such a bad idea to create a thread for them since it gets tiresome to keeping making them again and again. This year has started off badly so far 'cause of that Elektra which made less then Catwoman on it's opening weekend which is alright IMO since the fucking fanboys can't say that they're the reason that Catwoman tanked. Anyway, things look as if they're gonna get better because of good ol' Batman, Fantastic Four, and Miller's legendery Sin City which looks kickass. Superman returns is also coming out and they've selected an actor and a costume for him which has been controversial on comic book message boards just like every other comic book hero movie.

The suit on the right has been selected. The major differences from the Comic book suit is the belt, the size of the symbol, and the fact that he has a turtle neck.

Lots of people think that Bats should look like this but that would be box office suicide.

Batman should look like that and WTF with the Superman costume. The one of the left is way better. The one on the right is crap. Utter crap.

It would look like a pair of pajamas if they used a suit like that. I know that Dead End was a Batman fan's wet dream but that wouldn't work at all in Batman Begins I can tell you that.

It would look fine. You obviously wouldn't use cloth or something like that. You'd use like... the material they made the Spiderman costume out of.

There's a big difference between the Spidey and Bats costume.

I meant that you just make it look like it's tougher than regular clothes but still have it retain the look.

But anyways, that Superman costume is still crap.

I don't mind the Superman costume except for the turtleneck.

Just thought of something... he wears the costume under his regular clothes... I don't think a turtleneck is a very good idea... unless he plans to never unbutton his collar or anything.

Also the chest shield needs to be bigger. That is the all important shield of Superman. It should be big and prominent.

I like the belt in that it's metallic and not yellow or whetever but he doesn't need an extra symbol there. The belt in the picture on the right is better.

Yes, yes, I know. I am a comic book internet geek.

I read lots of comic books so I'm also a comic book geek I guess. I read Ultimate Spiderman, Amazing Spiderman, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Batman, Detective Comics, and Gotham Knights. Lots of books but I enjoy most of them so it's not too bad.

The suit would be for a pussy batman if it was that pjamma style one, slick black is the way to go.

Besides, Batman Begins is going to be the best superhero movie of 2005, definately. Christian Baile is perfect for the role, plus the whole cast for the movie is brillant. This is what I've been looking most forward to since June of last year, and by the previews you can tell it's going to be amazing.

LOL this thread is gonna be gold I've always wanted to see a proper internet nerd argument over superheros.

Involve Dungeons and Dragons somehow for extra comedic value

The cast for Batman Begins is awesome.
I plan on snubbing the new Superman movie because it took Singer away from the X Men movies. Oh and I'm not a big Superman fan, he bores me.

Yeah I like the fact that Gary Oldman is playing Gordon since he reminds me of the Gordon in Batman Year 1 in looks at least. It is a shame that Fox will not be patient and wait for Singer to get done with Supes. Hopefully the third X-Men will be as good as the last 2 movies.

Big WTF on the Superman costume.

The "S" needs to be way bigger, the turtleneck makes him look like a dipshit, and the belt screams "gay" to me.

I think they screwed up the casting of Clark Kent. Christopher Reeves was pefect for him, Dean Cain even did a pretty good job, but the people they're getting now are way too young to play a good SuperMAN. And I hate the costume.

I think Dean Cain should have been who they casted. He's the only (outside of Reeves) who seems right to me at the moment.

I have to agree with this, problem is they'd probably fuck it up.
I'd love to see who they'd cast as assface.

holy shit this is the worst idea for a thread ever. Lets just have a different thread for each movie.

Constantine will be out before Batman Begins, and it's likely to kick off DC's next line of movies.

Blade did the same thing with X-men, and look what happened.

Funny thing about Constatine, is that hes a blonde Scouser, so they get Keanu Reeves to play him. :wtf:

I hear that they're gonna do a Watchmen movie. It would be kinda hard to adapt it to film though since it has a whole bunch of material in it.
