This is the thread where you predict what will happen in the royal rumble. I'll start.

TRIPLE THREAT:
JBL V.S. BIG SHOW V.S. KURT ANGLE

WINNER: KURT ANGLE. WE NEED A NEW CHAMPION, I HEARD A RUMOR THAT THE WWE WANTS A HEEL CHAMPION AT WRESTLEMANIA, I WANT ANGLE TO WIN. HE'LL DOUBLE TEAM WITH JBL TO TAKE DOWN BIG SHOW AND WHILE JBL IS LEANING DOWN TO BIG SHOW TAUNTING HIM, HE'LL GRAB JBL'S LEG AND MAKE HIM TAP OUT.

SINGLE:
TRIPLE H V.S. RANDY ORTON

WINNER: TRIPLE H. THE FANS WANT A BATISTA VERSUS TRIPLE H MATCH, NO ONE CARES ABOUT ORTON ANYMORE. SO TRIPLE H WILL WIN, SO HE CAN FACE BATISTA AT WRESTLEMANIA.

SINGLE: CASKET MATCH
UNDERTAKER VERSUS HEIDEREICH

WINNER: UNDERTAKER. IT LOOKS LIKE THE HEELS ARE RULING ROYAL RUMBLE, SO WE NEED AT LEAST ONE FACE WIN. UNDERTAKER WILL TOMBSTONE HIM IN THE CASKET. CASKET MATCHES ARE UNDERTAKER'S THING.

SINGLE:
EDGE VERSUS SHAWN MICHAELS

WINNER: EDGE. HE WILL HAVE THE HELP OF CHRISTIAN AND THEY WILL REFORM.

ROYAL RUMBLE

WINNER: BATISTA. HE IS FACING TRIPLE H AT WRESTLEMANIA, SO ITS ONLY RIGHT HE INS, SO HE CAN FALL OUT WITH TRIPLE H IN WEEKS TO COME. I ASLO THINK THERE WILL BE A FEW HEEL TURNS IN THE RUMBLE, A FRIEND THROWING OUT HIS PAL, AND THEN THEY'LL EITHER FEUD OR TURN HEEL ON SOMEONE ELSE. ONE POSSIBLE SCENERIO, IS CHARLIE HAAS AND SHELTON BENJAMIN TEAM UP TO GET PEOPLE OUT, AND AS THEY THROW MORE OUT, HAAS THENV SEIZES HIS CHANCE AND THROWS OUT BENJAMIN, WHILE BENJAMIN YELLS AT HIM, HAAS IS DISTRACTED AND THROWN OUT. OR THE DUDLEY'S THROWING EACH OTHER OUT. I BELIEVE WE'LL SEE A HEEL TURN.

Royal Rumble Match
(In no particular order)
1. Shelton Benjamin
2. Edge
3. Christian
4. Kane
5. Gene Snitsky
6. William Regal
7. Chris Jericho
8. Chris Benoit
9. Muhammad Hassan
10. Batista
11. Tyson Tomko
12. Maven
13. Shawn Michaels
14. Matt Hardy
15. Val Venis
16. Daniel Puder
17. Rey Mysteiro
18. Charlie Haas
19. Booker T
20. Luther Reigns
21. Mark Jindrak
22. Orlando Jordan
23. Rene Dupree
24. John Cena
25. Paul London
26. Eddie Guerrero
27. Nunzio
28. Spike Dudley
29. Kenzo Suzuki
30. The Undertaker
Winner: I'm thinking Batista, although Cena and Egde wouldn't surprise me either. I think Rey Mysterio would make a good choice, since he would be as over as a babyface rover at WrestleMania. The same thing with Eddie Guerrero, but Mysterio winning would be a "Holy shit!" moment.

World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Winner: As unlikely as it seems, I think Randy Orton may get the duke here. He's over, and it's not like thye can epicly build-up his next title win. Just give him an unexpected win, maybe with a miscommunication between Batista and Triple H, or Flair and Triple H (maybe they should tease all three members of Evolution going their seperate way).

Orton winning the title would be a shock, and it doesn't do anything to WrestleMania in any form. Orton can lose the belt on RAW if they want to have Triple H vs. Batista for the title, or they can keep it on him and give Edge the WrestleMania win, or go through with a Triple Threat Match at Mania, with someone from SmackDown! winning the Rumble.

WWE Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show
Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield. I hope they change the rules of this match to be a match where you need to pin both your opponents to win. It would make the match seem more important. Anyway, Angle and Big Show don't really have much of a reason to become SmackDown!'s World Champion. JBL losing (or retaining) the title at WrestleMania is the way to go, IMO. I guess you can have The Big Show win, the lose the title back to JBL at No Way Out.

Casket Match
The Undertaker vs. Heidenreich
Winner: Just give the win to Undertaker here, and send Heidenreich down to OVW to train a bit more.

Grudge Match
Edge vs. Shawn Michaels
Winner: Edge. Hopefully, cleanly.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Funaki vs. Chavo Guerrero
Winner: I'm just adding matches to the card now. I think they'd best have Chavo nearly snap, and demand he gets a position in the Royal Rumble. Theodore R. Long then decides to give Chavo a CW Title shot at the RR.

I'd probably give Funaki the win here. Chavo doesn't need the belt, and you can easily put it on Chavo at anytime. Make this work with Funaki.

World Tag Team Championship
La Resistance vs. The Hurricane & Rosey vs. Rhyno & Tajiri
Winners: It doesn't really matter. I'd probably have the heels retain the titles, then lose them on a RAW or house show where Jericho & Benoit take the belts to either feud with Christian & Tyson Tomko or Muhammad Hassan & Khosrow Daivari.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Basham Brothers vs. Eddie Guerrero & Booker T
Winners: Just have double duty done here. I can see Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio getting a title shot, but I think they need to go forward with storylines. Have The Bashams retain here.

Is Dave still doing the predictions contest?
Yup, we are, and will be for every PPV this year. The thread will be up once Raw and Smackdown are done this week so we have the full card.

TRIPLE THREAT:
JBL V.S. BIG SHOW V.S. KURT ANGLE

WINNER: JBL is going to win this. as rumor has it, the WWE is happy still with JBL as their champion, and want him to hold the championship till Wrestlemania.

SINGLE:
TRIPLE H V.S. RANDY ORTON

WINNER: Triple H. Besides the obvious "Bosses son" comments, it's probably more intresting to send in a heel into Wrestlemania with the World Championship, giving us a reason to cheer on the face to win. However, I also think this may turn into another 3 way match, with HHH defending against Batista and Randy Orton.

SINGLE: CASKET MATCH
UNDERTAKER VERSUS HEIDEREICH

WINNER: Undertaker. If I were in charge or on the writing team, I could make a great storyline with Gene Snitski interfering in the match to help start a interpromotional feud between Kane and Undertaker facing Hedenrich and Snitski at Wrestlemania. However, I don't see that happening, and with Hedenrich kind of getting burried as it is by Undertaker, I don't see Hedenrich winning either.

SINGLE:
EDGE VERSUS SHAWN MICHAELS

WINNER: Shawn Micheals. I think that the feud with HBK and Edge is going to be ending tonight to start an interpromotional match with HBK and Angle at Mania. Sucks for Edge because I want him to win as well, but I call them like I see them.

ROYAL RUMBLE

WINNER: John Cena. Honestly, I want to see him win and go to Mania because I don't want to see the Raw Championship in the Wrestlemania main event again. I'm sorry about those people who really love seeing a Batiasta vs. HHH feud, but besides the fact that I don't give a shit about either wrestler, I would really want to see Cena face off against JBL (hey, I think it would be good feud), plus I have more respect for the WWE Championship then the Raw Championship.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton:
I just don't see Orton winning the title here. Possible Batista attempted interference but backfire may happen. Expect Ric Flair to destract the referee. Oh yeah, obligatory ref bump during this match.
Winner - Triple H by pinfall

JBL vs. Kurt Angle vs. Big Show:
My gut feeling says that JBL will indeed retain the title. After an Orlando Jordan interference, Angle will probably get chokeslammed, then the Basham Brothers will come and distract the Big Show, allowing JBL to scroe the pinfall over Angle.
Winner - JBL by pinfall over Angle

Undertaker vs. Heidenreich:
Looking at Taker's record in casket matches at the Royal Rumble, I have an evil feeling that Taker will be 0-3. A Snitsky run-in will probably help Heidenreich beat the dead man, setting a buildup of Kane/Taker vs. Snitsky/Heidenreich at Wrestlemania 21. As much as I hate to say it...
Winner - Heidenreich with Snitsky's help

Shawn Michaels vs. Edge:
This really should have been a match for WrestleMania. But hey, if the writing team wants to blow their load, so be it. I somehow see Edge squeaking away a victory with a tights roll-up for the victory. Obviously the feud wouldn't be over, where they'll meet again at WrestleMania 21 with some sort of stipulation added.
Winner - Edge by pinfall

Royal Rumble:
This may or may not be an interesting Royal Rumble. The big favorites to win this one are Batista and John Cena. Expect an interpromotional WM21 feud to start here. Who it will involve, could be anyone's guess. I say Batista will get an "early" number and pull off a victory.
Winner - Batista

HHH VS Randy Orton -
Randy Orton
I think wrestlemania will be a 3-way dance between Orton, Batista and HHH

HBK VS Edge -
Appaulign to have this match now, would have been perfect at WM21. Aaanyways, I see HBK holding down...oops, i mean winning ;-)

Angle VS JBl VS Big Show -
JBL
Cant see why they would take the belt off him right, just before Wrestlemania (unless its an interference leading to an interpromotional match)

Taker VS Heidenreich -
Heidenreich wins with a Gene Snitsky interference.

Royal Rumble -
Batista
I REALLY REALLY hope he doesnt win, but I'm pretty sure he will (or HHH may cost him the match?) Hopefully Jericho, Benoit, Edge, Eddie G or Rey Mysterio win it.

The Rumble Match

I see Cena Winning it because I have other things in mind for the large majorties choice of Batista.

HHH - Orton

Batista Screws HHH and orton gets the win after distraction from Batista or a chairshot or something.

Possibly Orton duckign a Batista Chairshot so that Batista inadvertently Hits HHH, Orton hits the RKO on Batista and pins HHH for the win.

Edge vs Michaels

I can see a stipulation being added next week on Raw and Edge going over clean. Edge to face Orton at Mania for the Title with a stipulated non title match between HHH and Batista.

Angle vs Big Show vs JBL

Show to take this one and JBL to have some sort of a rematch clause and winning it back on Raw the next night. Setting up the rumoured Barb-Wire Cage match between JBL and Show.

Heidenreich vs Taker.

Heidenreich to take it with a dusty finish.

Prediction for rumble -

2 people hit to mats at the same time AGAIN (a la rumble 1994, and every smackdown battel royale since 2000)

Rumble winner: Batista or Cena. One of those two. If neither, a face is going to walk out the winner.

In this rumble, WWE should have the ring filled with 4 people at least in the ring and have a maximum of...10 or 11 or so. They shoulden't have someone clear the ring again and stuff. Watch the 91 rumble and take notes.

Yup, we are, and will be for every PPV this year. The thread will be up once Raw and Smackdown are done this week so we have the full card.

Mine will be up as well. Remember, it's open to everyone since we run on a "current champion" basis instead of a points system leading to the end of the year championship. Our current champ is Corndad. Be there, or be unheard![/advertisement]

Apparently whatever happens with Orton/HHH and HBK/Edge, neither feud will be over after the Rumble. Tonight our cable co. ran a commercial for the Raw broadcast in Cincinnati on 2/14; the main event is being billed as a tag match of Orton & HBK vs. HHH & Edge.

Notably, the ad mentioned Ric Flair in the corner of HHH, but made no mention of Batista or Evolution as an entity.

Here's how I think it will all go...and if anyone said this I am sorry just kinda skimmed the thread.

Rumble Match comes down to Batista and Cena. Triple H pull some shit trying to "help" Batista and end up costing him the match. Batitsta looks pissed but appears calm heading into Triple H-Orton. As match is closing Flair and Batista are ringside and Batista somehow "accidentally" cost Triple H the match. As H is getting up Batista looks to be appologizing to him until H fully stands and he clothesline the shit out of him.

This way Triple H-Batista is not for the belt and Cena come to Raw and face Orton.
