go on sale in like 10mins... can't decide if I really want tickets or not... leaning twords not, haven't liked there recent stuff and don't know how much of the old stuff they play...
There only doing one Irish date in the summer. Tickets on sale Friday expected to sell out in a couple of minutes. Gonna give it a go to try and get 6. Can get them from 60 quid and easily get 150 each for them so that'd be a nice piece of business. May go along to it myself with one of the tickets

yeah, got through and had seats via the net, I like that ticketmaster now tells you your wait time... but decided against it... In the past when I've gotten tickets for the purpose of re-sale it hasn't always worked well...
I assume it sold out, especally where they had already had a pre-sale.

I basically hate dickheads who do that. Seriously. Ticket touts should be executed.
E-bay are going to ban the sale of U2 concert tickets in Ireland at anything over the face value.
I've seen U2 before and they play a lot of their old stuff, VEL. If you haven't seen them before, it's worth it if you have been a fan. I am not a big fan of theirs, but they were amazing live when I saw them.
My parents are really anxious to get tickets this time around. They'll be manning the phones and the internet, and I may go see if I can get them from Ticketmaster in Edinburgh on Friday morning.

The band that is opening for them, Kings of Leon, is kickass. I would go just to see them.

I've gone mad over having to pay it before and no doubt will again but I'm blinded by the prospect of hundreds of euros for simply being one of the lucky blokes who gets. I'm going to give it a go on the internet and phone tomorrow doubt I'll get anywhere but its worth a shot. Hopefully can pick up 6 sell 3 keep 3 and can sort 2 mates out with cheap tickets from the profits.

I work for Ticketmaster in NY, tickets for U2 at MSG sold out in like 15-20 minutes over the phone, which doesn't include people who went to the box office for them.
The show in Boston went fairly quick as well also. Seems to be difficult to get tix to.

I hate when people call up and can't figure out how to use ticketmaster.com. It pisses me off. But yeah, good luck with 'em. :y:

From what I gather, the tickets are a REAL hot commodity so you're pretty lucky to get a hold of them.
I didn't try this year as I heard most seats were in the $120-$160 range unless you try floor seating which works only in theory. If you like waiting hours for a space on the floor.
If they head my way, I'll try for seats but right now - Vancouver is a bit of a pricy ticket to get a hold of. Plane plus ticket = $300 And for those that didn't get seats at first, wait. Once the tour starts and the stage dimensions are determined - more seats should be released to the public. Keep an eye out for that :y:
