Damn, it was coming sooner or later but it's still a shame he hangs them up.

I think a lot of his legacy was taken away in the last couple of years, but in my opinion even in his later years he was a good running back. In his prime, he was amazing though, I don't think he gets fair credit.

He was amazing in his prime. He should have took a note from Barry or Jim. I would rank him below them two, and Gale as well as Sweetness of course.

Wasn't the best ever by any means, but he was something special in his prime

For his sake, it was nice to see him retire after having a really good year on Arizona. He could have been a bust this year and retired on a sour note, but he had a great year. I still think a few are better all-time than him, but he's obviously still one of the top 3 ever.

One of the best definitely. Even though for the most part he played for a division rival, you have to give some respect to the guy.

Jim Brown was #1 for his sole hatred of the white man

I didn't even realise until a few weeks ago how close he came to rushing for 1,000 yard last year. Pretty amazing considering 1) He played for Arizona who was playing from behind alot and 2) He was supposed to be "over the hill" 5 years ago.

One of my all-time favorites. Bad times. But atleast he retires as a Cowboy although it would have been cool to actually have him come back and actually play another game for them.

He wasn't overated. Shit. He single handedly won the 1993 SuperBowl. Granted he wasn't as fancy a running back as Payton or Sanders was, he'd however simply run through people. He was dominant.

He wasn't flashy or any of that junk. He just got the job done. One of the best running backs of all time IMO.
