Matt Bloom, formerly known as Prince Albert and A-Train in WWE, had a successful in-ring debut with Impact Zone Wrestling, winning their top title on Tuesday night in Tempe, Arizona. He was billed as Train, and defeated Peter Goodman to win the title. Train is scheduled to work the next IZW show on February 15 in Tempe, and then he's heading to Japan with other IZW wrestlers for a tour to run from February 23 to March 2. Billy Gunn is also advertised for that tour (and is booked to face Train), as are Vincent (formerly Virgil in WWE), Norman Smiley, Glen "Disco Inferno" Gilberti and others.

Matt Bloom is underated. He's not the flashiest. He is no useless hoss. He is a very solid BIG man worker. He is kind of in the middle of the road as far as BIG men are concerned. He is definitely not in the Undertaker's league but he is surely miles ahead of guys like Heidenreich or a Nathan Jones.

Good for Train. :y:

A-Train was never horrible, but he wasn't exactly gold. The WWE tried pushing him, and it worked for a while, but then something would just de-rail (no pun intended) the big man.

He had it in the ring, and in his character, but for some reason he just didn't travel in the WWE.

Maybe it was the fact that the fans would never let him forget that he needs to SHAVE HIS BACK! What kind of a world champion gets personal grooming suggestions from the crowd?

Snitsky - 'I like your hairy back Albert'
Albert - 'I like you too Gene'
Heidenreich - *heavy breathing*

Heidenreich - *heavy breathing*

I would mark out if we saw that at WrestleMania. I LOVE the confrontations between Snitsky & Heidenreich. If they had these two team in either tag team division, I would be huge fans of both guys.

It's clear that Snitsky and Heidenreich have to be on the same show after WM.

I can imagine the roster draft once one of them is drafted.

Snitsky walks into the dressing room.

'We're going to be together now John'
*heavy breathing* 'I like that Gene'

I remember reading an interview with a-train in smackdown! magazine and the question was "How do you know that your a wwe superstar?" (or something like that)

A-train's response was: "When I walk down the street in normal clothes and people scream out to me to shave my back."

He had it in the ring, and in his character, but for some reason he just didn't travel in the WWE.

Might have something to do with the fact that he looks like a cabbage patch head on a partially shaven gorilla's body.
