Is Carlito really injured or have they just got nothing for him to do?
Surely, if Cena has to drop the title then surely it should be him. At Wrestlemania even better.
'Spinning disc belt, that not cool' *spits*
'Carlito's belt, now thats cool'
Another thing, how good was the Batista & Carlito segment at RR?
I'm a Carlito mark, aren't I?

I know that when the injury angle first started he was really injured. I forgot who did it but he injured himself at a house show. I dont know if he is still injured or if this is just playing off his whole injury.
But yea....when Cena drops the belt it should be to Carlito. They should have it where someone interferes of course but in the end Carlito should hold the belt. And I think they should work on it since Cena will probably win the big championship belt at Mania.

20 BUCKS SAYS Cena never jobs the Title, but forfeits it when he wins the World Title.
Or, they'll do baby vs baby match and Cena will drop the Title like Bret/Bulldog from Summerslam 92. A match like that makes both parties come out strong. Guerrero would be a great candidate for that.

I honestly can't see them NOT having a US Title match at WM. Unless it's title vs title. But that's a waste.
I'm thinking more of a 20 man US Title battle royal at WM, with the last two fighting it out. Eddie vs Rey maybe, or Carlito vs Rey.
Face will win obviously.

"Yes."
"You see what I did with that flag?"
"Yes."

I guess they could do a segment coming up where after Cena becomes the #1 contender at No Way Out where he says that he is so confident that he will win the title that he decides to just drop the US belt and then Long sets up a rumble or a four way match at mania for it. I dont want to see Cena really with two belts and I just hope he gets rid of one before he wins the other one.

The Cena/Carlito feud was pretty hot until Bobcore broke Carlito's arm. And that's why he's been getting petitions signed. I'm glad they're keeping him on TV.

Yeah. And where has Bobcore been the entire time?
Exactly. :)

Carlito won't b back wrestling till after wrestlemania i believe.
so throw him out of the equation.
Personally, I wanna see Rey rey with the title!

Don't doubt that Mysterio would make a great champ, but personally I want to see a face chasing the US Title next.

I think Cena should go into Mania as US champ and have both the US and WWE titles on the line.
Cena wins the WWE title, then forfeits the US title.
If Cena drops the title before Mania, it will.......well it'll actually be par for the course.
The idea of Cena giving up the title before Mania is okay, but really you can tell the same story with Cena going in as champ. To me there is more value in advertising a match as title vs title then there is in having a US title match that will be so far down the card nobody will remember it anyway.
Vacating the US title after Mania is also better becase it gives them a storyline that can build into the 1st SD PPV post-Mania.
In terms of who should be champ, I'd like to see them give it Rey, but there are lots of guys on SD who could use it. Eddie could, just to give him something, young guys like OJ, Haas, and Dupree could all use it. And, just to throw out an idea, what if JBL were to drop the WWE title at Mania, and then win the US title at Judgment Day? I think we all agree JBL is entertaining, and this would be agreat way to maintain his gimmick somewhat anyway.
Only problem with that is that SD is short on top heels, so JBL will likely need to stay in the WWE title mix, even after he drops the WWE title. Of course that could change, depending on which guys switch from RAW.

Carlito is still injured, I think. BTW, I love Theodore R. Long, and he's entertaining as anyone, but has anyone else noticed he's too much like an anti-heel. He forced Carlito to defend the US Title with a broken arm. If he had forced John Cena to do that, he would instantly be a heel GM. I just can't see the fairness in Teddy Long's character.
Anyway, I'd like to see Cena hold the US Title until Judgment Day, at the least. You can have him forfeit the belt, but I think him dropping it to a heel while he is the WWE Champion would give them a lot of crediblity.
Why not have Cena lose the title at The Great American Bash? Carlito winning the belt there would be simply awesome, IMO. Have Cena do double duty with both belts until then.
I do have a soft spot in my heart for Orlando Jordan winning the belt, though, and then having JBL demand Orlando hands it over when he can't beat Cena for the WWE Championship.

Yea I agree with Alienoid06 on the Orlando part, because I can see them giving Orlando the US, so the cabinet looks as dominant as possible going into WM. But, I too would like to see Carlito with the US title, hes the man :)

About the whole US title scene.
I think John Cena should lose the US Title AT LEAST 6 months - a year before he becomes World Champ. I don't think he should forfeit the title, nor is there a good reason for him to forfeit the title. He's still, in my mind, only in US Title contention, so I think they should get that off his waist so they can push him solely as a World Title contender, cos at the moment, it seems as if the US title means more to him than the World title.
If Kidman is still a heel, I think he should drop it to him, since Carlito and Jesus are out for the moment. Carlito would probably make a good temporary manager for Kidman.
If Cena does go on to win this No. 1 contenders tourny, I definately think he should lose at Mania.

I like Cynick's idea. WWE Champ vs US Champ at Wrestlemania 21 :y:
Although if Cena wins, it won't mean much cause it's not the main-event
