It really just hit me the other day that one of the biggest problems with a lot of WWE matches is their repetition. Actually that hit me a long time ago, but it really just hit me as to WHY that's such a problem. The problem is that almost every high-profile match ends in some kind of outside interference, or total over-reliance on ref bumps. Then it occurred to me that this stuff was less of a problem back in the classic days of managers like Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Mr Fuji and the like. These days if there's anybody at ringside, it's either a woman or a chance companion within the storyline. The few managers that we have seen in the past few months boil down to Heyman and that obnoxious screaming dink that follows Hassan around. We need to get back to the concept of managers being total non-wrestlers, and even better, to where one manager would accompany a bunch of unrelated wrestlers. More managers at ringside means more creative endings to matches, more interesting matches overall, and a good way to inject personality into less charismatic wrestlers.

I definately agree. I was watching the RVD dvd and watching Bill Alfonso outside jumping all around reminded me of how much a manager can add to the mood of the match. Thats a good point. I would really like to see RVD with a manager.
