No need to post one of the news articles, nothing is known yet besides Flip is gone and Kevin McHale is the interm head coach for now. I smell Phil Jackson. If he was going to come back to the league, the Wolves would make absolutely the most sense for him. The Wolves are the only team of the three (Lakers, Knicks, Wolves) that have the talent to win, and just like he did in Chicago or LA, they are a team that just needs to finish. Look for it in the future.
I hate to see Flip go, he was a good coach and a Minnesota guy for life, I don't know what he's going to do now. He played at the U of M, his son is now on the U of M team, and he coached in Minnesota for over 10 years, so I wonder if he will continue coaching somewhere else or do something here? Something needed to be done, and even though Cassell and Spree are the real problems, at least thats a start.

Here is a list of guys that are FA's after the year, and thus the Wolves could make an offer at
Jeff McInnis 3.6 Mil
Andre Miller 5.7 Mil
Damon Staudemire 12.5 Mil
Shareef 14.6 Mil
Ray Allen 14.6 Mil (I don't know why they want to move him, but they have been reported that they might)
Larry Hughes 5.4 Mil
Joe Johnson 2.4 Mil
Donyell Marshall 5.4 Mil
Gary Payton 5.4 Mil
Obviously a guy like Larry Hughes isn't going to be traded during the season, but I could definately see the Wolves making a deal with Portland involving Shareef and Damon.

Phil Jackson would fit in nicely and he wouldn't have to deal with the crap that Shaq and Kobe put him through

I'm curious to see how Kevin does as Coach.
The Celtics have a history of turning out good HC's.

He lives about a mile away from me, I used to be friends with his son but he is just super fucked up now. Stories later, around the campfire.

Haven't been keeping up with the season much but I caught the game at Memphis the other night and wow, they were terrible. Only KG and Wally showed up. Having said that though the Grizzlies were on fire and it could've been worse in the end :$

McInnis for Cassel makes a bit of sense

The problem with trading Cassell is that he has two years left on his contract. I don't think McInnis would be a savior to the Wolves at this point, or even do that much to help, but I would rather have him then Cassell. At the same time, I don't think the Cavs would rather have Cassell.
There was one scenario that included Cassell and Spree to the Hornets for B-Day and Mashburn. Both Davis and Mashburn have many years left on their contracts, and Mash wouldn't play this season, but anything is better then what weh ave now.

I know I may sound biased, but wouldn't coming to the Wolves rather then the Lakes or the Knicks be the Phil Jackson thing to do? He is a finisher, first MJ, then Shaq and Kobe, now Garnett is the perfect place for him to be. Why in the right mind would he ever go to NY?

Even though you are always biased towards Minnie sports, I agree with you there. Knicks are garbage and will continue to be garbage. Maybe he would want to go there to prove he isn't just a "finisher" coach though?
