I couldn't be simpler. I just realized that all the people that get kicked off always say "they're making a mistake, I'm talented, I should've made it... blah blah blah." However, the people that make it to the end say "I never thought I'd make it this far, everybody else is so talented, I'm honored and blah blah blah."

The key to making it to the finals is to act like you shouldn't be there :y: If you have confidence they will kick you off just to see you cry on camera.

I KINDA watch American Idol.

Last year had some pretty awesome people (George Huff, JPL, and John Stevens all ruled).

I decided to go ahead and start watching this year too and now I'm realising why I didn't watch the first two seasons. Last year was a fluke. Mainstream shit sucks.

I know. All the avid fans of the show thought JPL and John Stevens sucked because they weren't contemporary or whatever. I thought everyone liked George Huff though. I liked all three because they were different and I thought they were all good with their specific styles. I don't like contemporary pop, I don't really care to hear people sing it for an hour. John Stevens had the old timey voice and sang the standards, JPL did the crazy, hippity-hoppity Jailhouse Rock type stuff, and George Huff did mostly mo-town stuff. If all three had made the finals it would have been pretty sweet.

JPL and Huff were ok, just not that great to me. I honestly thought Stevens sucked though, I didn't even think he was good at that particular style. I thought the only reason he made it so far was because he was young and people liked to vote for him. Also he thought he didn't deserve to be there... just like my first post said

I cant believe the shot actually did good. I was expecting it to fail from the beginning. Each time the show ends I beg for there to never be another episode again.

Plus he looked like a young Conan.

they have given up searching for an idol now in the uk after the last fiasco where the public took the piss and voted for the big fat girl who was a shit singer, then didnt buy any of her singles!

they are now searching for someone with the X factor. what makes me laugh is its usually the runners up who get a better career than the winners!

Wasnt the whole deal of this years American Idol all about they were actually looking for nice looking people. Instead of just judging them on singing the way they got on the show is if they were nice looking. What kind of crap is that?

Halo Effect. The automatic assumption that a good looking person pushes good product.
