View Full Version : Boycott WWE?

Hmmmm, you know I just realized something...and I'm sure it's already been thought of before...
Since it seems Vince, Triple H, and others at WWE can't stand internet fans and sites...why not illustrate to them how powerful the internet community is toward wrestling by boycotting RAW one night? I mean the idea seems like a long shot, cuz you'd have to really, really, really, spread the news around bigtime...but maybe somehow it could be possible if you spread it on the big sites besides here..like rajah, lop, etc. This way, the ratings would come out as shite..and Vince would realize that the net fans aren't something to be ignored.
Whatever, it's just my thinking..and probably really far off and out there. :shifty:
With our luck Jericho would be winning the title that night and he'd lose it the next week at a house show because of the ratings. :nono:

Sadly, the large majority of fans are casula fans, not Internet fans, so it wouldn't really make that much of a difference.

Damn, I thought they made a bigger slice of that pie...but I guess not!

WHAT! Heat doesn't come on anymore? I barely watch anymore, I guess I didn't realize that Heat was canned
Anyway, on topic... I boycott would do no good. It would be impossible to organize "all" internet fans for one thing. The reason most of them are so hard to please is because they love the show too damn much and hate to see it in it's current state. However, because they love it so much they will continue to watch it through the bad times and the worst times. That fact aside, even if every internet fan came together and boycotted the shows, Vince would care about as much as he cares about what I ate for lunch today.

How about instead of organizing to boycott we organize to produce fake pictures of HHH making out with fifty chicks at the same time and then give it to Steph?
Nah, how about showing him getting a blowjob from Vince. Daughter against father and son in law.

Because McMahons = ratings and they'll all be on TV again, and I've enjoyed this past year without Nipple H.

You could never rally enough people on the net to make any kind of difference.
Just dont go to shows if you dont like the product. Thats what Ive been doing/will continue to do.

Watch what you like, don't watch what you don't.

Yeah, but mine isn't really a complaint toward the product of the show. More like showing Vince how big the net community is...that's all. However, like I said, it'd be impossible to really organize this...and I thought we made a bigger slice of the pie...but I guess not.

But thats part fot he problem, the internet community is not that big. How many people post here on a regular basis? 50? Thats not going to make any kind of difference. Even if you took every wrestling message board on the 'net, I dont think you'd get to more than a few thousand people, and that might be pushing it.
The internet is strange place. If you book for the 'net alone you will go out of business (ask Russo), but I would say the fans with the best grasp on how the business works are on the 'net.

Even if we did make up the vast majority, a boycott could not be organised amidst these rabid fanboys.
This reminds me of the time i saw this episode of " The Wonder Years" . The one where Kevin Arnold gets everybody to stage awalk out in the middle of class's in school. I did this once and i was all hyped about it then when it hit noon i walked out and like literally 2 other people were with me. I was like.. " I hate you guys " and walked back in and sat in detention for 2 hours.
Yah boycott! Yippe!
