View Full Version : Raw lacking main event heels? *Raw spoiler*

With the Animal known as Batista offically turning face on Raw it leaves Raw in a precarious position when it comes to main event heels.Of course their is HHH but who else is their...
Flair-No way, he's good on the mic but he's past his prime.
Edge-Decent but not many consider him main event material
Snitsky- Mid carder
Christian-He has the most potential but I doubt they push him
Masters- To young and as we can see not great in the ring(busted Richards nose)
Hussan-Gimmick won't lead to main eventing
So what could be done to fix this? My idea is to turn Jericho or Benoit heel. Turning benoit would be difficult but Jericho as a heel works so much better.Jericho has been jobbing to much lately and turning heel might give jericho that main event push that he had at one time. Thoughts?

Edge is no good as a main event anything.

Edge is definitely #2 behind HHH. Benoit should be given time as a heel.
I think this is why the WWE keeps bringing in guys as heels. They hope one of them will catch on and get real heat (and be good in the ring). Its a real shame when Snitsky is getting serious time and now a program with Shelton Benjamin. Christian is the only other guy who can work main events, albet it may be tag matches.

I disagree.
I could see Muhammed being one of the most hated Heel Champions of all time.

You don't think the gimmick would get old after a few months.I mean he's going to run out of stuff sooner or later

If used right then not at all.
He does need some title reign though.
I think the IC title will do for now.

This Topic should be closed.
HHH is all the main event heel the WWE will need for the next 7-8 years minimum.

Orton will most likely turn. Benoit should turn as well. I never liked Edge before his heel turn, but the quality of his matches has stepped up quite a bit since then.

JERICHO being a HEEL is the best! Nothing beats arrogant, cocky, crybaby heel Jericho. Benoit as heel is just boring. Orton will hopefully turn heel, but I'm assuming and hoping he goes to SD.

Im wondering how the writers plan to have Orton face Taker at Mania. Is Orton just going to appear out of no where on smackdown and RKO the deadman?. This will be an interesting development...

Sooner or Later, perhaps, but his character has more depth than the simple French "America sucks" Crap La Res was spouting. He can last more than a few months.

Make Kane a heel.
With the Snitsky deal, he sort of became a de facto face, but that's not too hard to change. I mean, he was killing a guy who caused his seed to spoil. Make him the psychotic evil fucker again. Serial killer shit.
Push Edge. I doubt he can stay main event shit, but beggars can't be choosers.
Better yet, push Christian. He seems to be very comfortable with his current role. Edge works better as...Well, he needs a role where talent and personality are irrelevent. We could give him a sex change and make him a Diva, but that doesn't help much.
Push Hassan towards the top. I don't think he's ready yet, but I think he can be.
I think Turning Jericho heel right now would probably be a bad idea. Mostly because the fans have seemed really behind him. It might work and all, but I'm not quite sure it would.
Orton...Orton was better as a cocky heel. I'd buy him face, heel, or cocky bastard who does it all (I hate the term 'tweener,' it's Gayer than a Richard Simmons orgy...)

Benoit's due IMO
If he loses to Hassan, that could be a start, using the old "frustrated face" scheme.

I personally think Edge is ready. His new character is perfect, and it will eventually lead to him winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
I wouldn't turn Jericho heel, because the WWE doesn't know how to use Heel Jericho. Keep him as a face that can be pushed into the main event should the WWE need a face.
Benoit is my pick for heel turn. He can play a machine that practically breaks people in the ring. Benoit vs. Jericho, heel vs. face, would be a great match, IMO.
I would also push Christian, maybe as a face. I know most guys like him better as a heel, and he plays that role well, but Christian could really get over on the mic as a face, and Benoit (Heel) vs. Christian (Face) at Backlash is a match I'd love to see.
I wouldn't turn Kane heel, but I'd cover him up and have him just destroy everyone. If he gets cheered, fine, if he gets booed, fine. Just push Kane as the monster h was originally.
I am 90% confident Chris Benoit and Muhammad Hassan will have a great match on RAW next week. Benoit has worked with OVW guys, and he's aware of what they can do and what they know. The WWE, for some reason, tones these guys down, but you can just see in his matches that Hassan wants to break out. The way he takes DDTs and bulldogs for example. He and Benoti will have a great match, and I'n confident we'll see the best of Hassan in this thing. I hope they let Hassan win with The Finishing Touch just to give him a new move.
It would be nice to see Benoit offer Hassan his han after the match, and have Hassan refuse. That would be an intense moment right there.
Anyway, I'd personally have Hassan win a Gauntlet Match on Heat, against sa Tajiri, William Regal, Rhyno & Val Venis. This earns him an IC Title shot, either a WrestleMania or the night after (have Shelton Benjamin retain agaisnt Gene Snitsky). Muhammad Hassan wins, then Shelton Benjamin offers him his hand, and Hassan accepts.
Edge, Christian, and Benoit. Canadians were just meant to be heels :p

-Kane could turn VERY easily turn heel (especially if they put him up against Batista after Mania'). The Kane/Matt Hardy/Lita thing could also be used.
-Randy Orton will most likely turn heel after Wrestlemania.

There is going to be another RAW & Smackdown draft after Wrestlemania like last year, or at least I heard. Who knows? Maybe a Smackdown superstar could step up and fight Batista after WM 21

SD needs heels too.
The only legit heels are JBL and Carlito, thats about it.
If Orton goes to SD and turns, that would help them, maybe JBL could go to RAW.
Christian needs to be pushed to main events towards the end of the year.

Orton is much better as a heel. He has the cockyness to be one. Yeah.
If they turn Benoit heel....then uh...he no longer is a face. :)

there is only 1 heel onRaw, and he is the one who is always gonna be in the main event title hunt, HHH of course.
There are no other heels because he hogs the number 1heel spot, and always gets the title shots

See this is what I'm thinking here..it looks as though Edge is gonna be out of an opponent for WM, unless he involves himself with HBK and Angle. But I dont want that. Edge deserves a one on one match to keep his momentum going. I say,. instead of Orton, who clearly was botched and does not deserve a match against Taker for instance, why not place Edge vs Taker?
Edge could get a huge rub from the guy by beating him at Mania, which nobody has ever done. Edge is actually over right now, whereas Orton is not, unless you count the teenage girls. Orton cannot turn heel and then build towards this match with enough time to make it credible...so you'd have a face vs face match. Orton would not be able to garner much heat until maybe after the result of the match, where I believe the heel turn would take place. imo, Edge should be given the bigger match as after HHH, he's the next top heel. Too bad for Orton I say.

They could do Edge-Foley. It might be a little rushed, but it would be a worthy match for Edge.
The problem is that the list of potential main eventers are guys who were tossed around the midcard for so long, and have had many blown opportunities to reach full potential, I don't have the confidence that WWE can do them justice.
In fact on RAW and SD, the majority of them were used as cannon fodder for HHH, even Orton, but he's still young so it's not over for him.

I LOVE the idea of Edge vs. The Undertaker. That is a match I would pay for. This leaves Orton with nothing, so why not try and get The Rock to face him? Randy Orton vs. The Rock would do just as much for Orton as Orton/Taker would do.
Besides, I think Edge is also undefeated at WrestleMania, with him going 3-0 (I think). Edge isn't exactly unproven in the WWE, either. Look at how Mania can shape up:
World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs. Batista
WWE Championship/WWE United States Championship
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. John Cena
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin vs. Muhammad Hassan
World Tag Team Championship
Christian & Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. William Regal & Tajiri vs. La Resistance
WWE Tag Team Campion vs. WWE Tag Team Champion
Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Chavo Guerrero vs. Paul London
Interpromotional Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Interpromotional Match
The Undertaker vs. Edge
Interpromotional Match
The Rock vs. Randy Orton
Loser Leaves Town Match
Special Guest Referee: Matt Hardy
Kane vs. Gene Snitsky
Grudge Match
Booker T vs. Heidenreich
