Well I rented the DVD today and now I finished watching it. It was interesting, but why all the focus on only three people? Foley, Funk, and Roberts. And can somebody please explain why the WWF withdrew its support for the film? Thanks.

I can't speak for the producers of the film, but I would assume they concentrated on Foley, Funk, and Roberts because of all the people they tracked, theirs were the most interesting stories.
I would assume Vince withdrew his support because he wasn't portrayed very positively.

Yeah, he wasn't portrayed positively, but I fail to see how he was portrayed negatively. The business is the business. Is that entirely Vince's fault?

No. But we all know how Vince likes to have his ego stroked, and this film didn't do it.

Yeah the part with Droz always makes me laugh at Vince. He's like your gonna Puke, your gonna Puke, your gonna Puke in his evil voice. And then right after that when he's explaining what the WWF really is and he goes, "we make movies," then he drinks his water and gives this smart ass look into the camera. Funny Stuff.

In his book Foley said that McMahon withdrew support because the distrubtors, makers wanted the WWE to promote the film for free as paying would trainish it's integrity but vince didn't want todo that as he felt it would mean he WWE being taking adavantage of

Vince wasn't happy because:
A} He wasn't put over enough AND (the main reason)
B} He tried to buy into the movie, and was turned down; so he
got upset that HE wasn't going to make any $$ off of it....
They focused mainly on them because (like people have said) their
stories were the most interesting; and not only that, they were the
three most recognized of everyone he followed. New Jack wouldn't
have been as recognizable on posters as Terry Funk or Mick Foley.
Also, there was enough footage cut out of that movie to make ano-
ther one from. SO many stories from SO many guys could be done.

I have no idea what happened to Maxx Payne's movie. I downloaded the trailor to it, it says it was supposed to have been released in 2001 but I've never seen where I can get it. It certainly looks interesting though.
