I'd like to see the Bashams, Charlie Haas, and any other decent tag teams be sent to Raw. It would take a while to build interest in the titles back up, but eventually we could see a more permanent reunion between guys like Edge and Christion, as well as Haas and Benjamin.

I know it sounds like a step backwards for guys like S. Benjamin and Christian, but the idea is to make the title seem more important again. I don't think anybody takes EITHER tag title seriously anymore. I couldn't even tell you who holds the belts on smackdown right now. I think La Res has the Raw belts, but I'm not even sure on that.

If I were trying to book it so that people care about the titles again I think it should go something like this. Haas goes to Raw and starts a hot IC title feud with Benjamin. I'd try not to build any particular heat on either man, the feud would basically be about proving who is the better man. The Benoit vs Booker T best of 5 situation comes to mind as a similar situation. I wouldn't do a full fleged best of 5 series with these 2, but maybe a 2 out of 3 falls match would be appropriate. At the end of the match (probably on a ppv) the guys would shake hands, etc.

Anyway at the same time (same ppv) there would be a title unification match between La Res and the Bashams (assuming those teams have the titles?) where La Res comes out on top. After the match La Res claims that since they are the first holders of the new unified tag title, they are the greatest tag team in the world. See where I'm going with this? For those that don't see it, this sets up La Res (greatest team in the world) vs Hass and Benjamin (world's greatest tag team). WGTT comes out on top which prompts E and C to try and prove their greatness as a team.

With either WGTT or E and C as title holders it makes the random teams like Benoit and Jericho seem more appropriate. Nobody cares about Benoit and Jericho vs La Res, but take out La Res and put in E and C. Sounds better eh?

Thoughts?

I would totally agree with the idea of putting all the Tag Teams together on one show if its Smackdown. They really need something going for them right now, Unify the Tag belts and defend only on smackdown. Finding air time on raw is tough already but if u add all the tag stuff on top of that, would become the Heat Tag Titles quick I think.

Any other opinions on this?

IF they are going to do another roster re-draft, then it needs to be done right. Instead of just having 5 picks or whatever like they did last year, they need a complete re-draft, like when did it for the first time.

I wouldn't be opposed to the teams all heading to Smackdown either, it just seemed like it would take fewer moves to get everybody on Raw.

I totally agree that a complete re-draft would be the best situation, but I doubt we'll see it.

Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio hold the WWE Tag Titles

La Res was holding the World Tag Titles but they just lost them yesterday on Heat in a three team elimination match to Taijiri and Regal. La Res was actually the first team eliminated. And if you're interested the third team was Christian and Tomko.

Yea would not take as many moves to get all on Raw, I totally see your point there, but like I said division would have a bigger impact on the Smackdown side of things.

Good Post :y:

Forgot to post this in previous post but Regal and Tajrii actually came into that with the titles. they won them when RAW was in Japan not too long ago.

You may be right, my memory is a little foggy today. For some reason I was thinking that Regal and Taijiri had actually lost them a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I doubt Rey and Eddie will hold on to the belts for much longer, but I could be wrong.

lol here's what I think will happen

Batista will win the world title then they will move him to smackdown.

Cena moves to RAW

Triple H will eventually with the WWE Title off Cena

What will PROBABLY happen, is that Smackdown will make a big deal about getting a mystery guy from Raw claiming he his a HUGE superstar. They will build it up for weeks, then reveal that it's the KFC Masterpiece guy. He'll feud with Hedienreich for a while then we won't see either of them again for a long while.

Let's get rid of the lottery. Let's forget the concept of a random draft, and have trades and free agents. Think of the drama that could be built up through scouting the talent. You could even put heat and velocity in the mix...Nah. Too muc h effort.

I think the WWE can rebuild each individual tag team scene with effort.

It just dawned on me that the six men that have ever won a TLC Match is on RAW. Image if that was used to rebuild the tag division? A TLC Match is held at WrestleMania, with the three teams reuniting to decide who should get the World Tag Team Championship shot at Backlash. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. Edge & Christian vs. Kane & The Hurricane. Edge & Christian win and we are all set for Backlash with William Regal & Tajiri vs. Edge & Christian.

After WrestleMania, however, you have Vince McMahon say that anyone 220lbs or under can leave RAW for SmackDown! so they can access the cruiserweight division. The Hurricane, Tajiri & Simon Dean take Vince up on this, so now we have a vacancy for the World Tag Team Championship.

The RAW scene now has Edge & Christian, Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho & La Resistance, with no champions. Matt Hardy & Rhyno who are jealous that with their part in TLC history went unnoticed form a tag team to add to the RAW ranks. The Shane Twins also debut on RAW. When Steven Richards returns from his injury, he makes a partnership with Val Venis.

At Backlash we see Edge & Christian vs. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho for the vacant World Tag Team Championship. Matt Hardy & Rhyno interfere with steel chairs, but since they hit Edge & Christian first, the heels push it so that they are named the official winners and the new World Tag Team Champions. You then have tag team feuds spread from there.

So on RAW our tag team scene ends up something like this:

Edge & Christian (Champions)
Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho
Matt Hardy & Rhyno
La Resistance
Val Venis & Steven Richards
The Shane Twins
Chris Masters & Brent Albright (bring up the other Troublesooter)
And in dire emergeancy, Muhammad Hassan & Khosrow Daivari

On SmackDown!, Eddie & Rey have a falling ou, and their match at WrestleMania allows the winner to name a new tag team partner to cary the WWE Tag Team Championship. Eddie Guerrero wins, and he consders a lot of people for the role, including Charlie Haas & Tajiri. He eventually chooses Chavo Guerrero, however, and they reveal the "don't trust a Guerrero" stuff was all planned by them so they can become the ONLY three-time WWE Tag Team Champions in the titles' history.

This pisses off Rey Mysterio AND Paul London (who was screwed by a masked man out of the Crusierweight Championship at WrestleMania, now obviously Eddie). These two men become the first challengers to the reformed Los Guerreros.

The Basham Brothers stick around, as do Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki. Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas continue their on and off tag team scheme. They also run an angle where Simon Dean loses a match, then in frustration he shoves a bottle of fitness pills down his throat. The pills release so much energy in Simon Dean that he becomes an entity known as "Nova". We then see him strike an allegiance with The Hurricane, and The Justice Legion is born.

Add in Funaki & Akio, Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon Moore and Nunzio & Tony Mamaluke (keep him under contract after he does the ECW PPV) and you now have:

Los Guerreros (Champions)
Rey Mysterio & Paul London
The Basham Brothers
Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki
Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas
The Justice Legion (The Hurricane & Nova)
Funaki & Akio (Kaientai? Kyo Dai? Futari no Asskickers?)
Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon Moore
The Dudley Boyz (Bring them back as the veteran tag team of SmackDown! as the parallell to Edge & Christian)

With some solid booking after that, I think the tag team scene in the WWE would look alright.

Care to explain why?

I'm not exactly sure what would make Smackdown a better ground for Tag Teams. They already have one specialty belt.

I think the Tag scene on both shows should be worked out.

Sounds good Alienoid (especially the Nova part :D ). I wish WWE would put in enough effort to make that much variety in the tag team (talking about the SD scenario you had). Even though some of those teams have some poor workers like Bobcore "Sparky Plugg" Holly, the sheer number and variety of the teams would make it more interesting than what we've seen over the past few years.

What's a tag team?

No seriously, please make tag teams good again. They're awesome and should be used the proper way.

and for the love of GOD, stop teaming Haas with Holly! Give the guy a break!

Good GOD yes.

Though I must say, I'm surprised at the pops Holly's gotten of late, Haas deserves something better than Velocity.
