Well not the best game.. cuz there's ocarina of time and chrono trigger.

But this is definately one of the best RPGs I have ever played, anyone else play it?

this game is

i recomend anyone who has a gamecube and likes RPGs (it's action, not turn based) to go out and buy this game right now, I can guarantee you'll love it

you will probably love it even if you don't like RPGs

I missed the first 1/3 of the game (due to my Brothers being in Canada and me in the US), but yeah, from what they told me and the 2/3 I played I would agree.

It's no Final Fantasy, but it was pretty good.

We worked up a pretty good team too.

My youngest brother was the Spell master who stayed in the back destroying everyone with shit that took forever to cast.

My middle brother was the watchman. He was decent at both melee and magic, but his main job was to handle mana/hp distribution.

I was the hack and slash guy. I basically charged in and deliver 12 hit combos to everyone. I also acted as a human shield when someone was busy with an important spell.

The story was wanky in some places, but otherwise it was ok. Like I said it wasn't Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 or 7, but considering the lack of RPGs on the Cube, it's fairly good. Also, I like the attack system.

I enjoyed it, Kratos was the only character in the game that had good voice acting though. The rest were terrible.

The combat system was horrible, the story was utter wank, and lack of RPGs is hardly an excuse. This game isn't even really an RPG, unless Dynasty Warriors has suddenly turned into an RPG. IT's a button Masher that involves levelling up. Blah.

Yeah, I am going to have to agree with Kane Knight here.

It sucks.

It's more of a chore than a game.

wow, seriously i never thought anybody could hate this game.

did you guys really give it a chance? Or did you put it down after 5 minutes of playing

The story is amazing IMO, and the battles are so much fun.. it is far from a button masher. I really liked the voice acting too.

and funky, 12 hit combos? lol you suck.. I get like 25 on average... use the normal attack 3 times, then a level 1 sp, followed by level 2 sp, followed by level 3sp, followed by a good unison attack

that will get you like 25 hits without the Unison attack, and a bit more with it

I never did figure get to choose my moves as I leveled up. My middle brother insisted on selecting the moves.

No, I bought the game, and played it for five minutes. As I judge ALL games.

The story's shit, the game is mostly a button masher with RPG qualities, instead of vise versa.

But, you know, it's impossible that anyone who's played the game might hold a different opinion than yours, because all of mankind is impressed by the same qualities within a storyline.

Damn it. I read the topic quickly and thought we were talking about Symphony of the night. Yeah this game was decent, but I've played a lot better.

I tried to like the game. I really did. I was excited at the notion of a Multiplayer RPG. However, when we played the game, it quickly became an episode of MST3K, as we took the piss out of the lame ass storyline, predictable characters, half-assed gameplay, etc. We played it for several hours, telling ourselves it had to get better. Nothing rated this high could blow this hard.

I later went and played it solo for quite some time before giving up, admitting the game blew, and selling it off.
