Was anyone else disappointed by this movie?

How it could ever win an oscar is insane

(especially for best screenplay which was probably about three pages long)

Everyone I've spoke to loves this film and I wish someone could explain it to me

Yes Bill Murray is the man and Scarlett Johansson is hot but does this movie have anything else going for it?

Sofia Coppola ruins the Godfather trilogy with her piss poor acting now she's wasted two hours of my life

I dunno what it was about it, I normally don't really like those kinda movies, but this one just owned. Really good acting, unique idea, and a good script.

I would say it was my favorite movie of 2003.

I don't know how ad libbing a few shit lines and panty shots show great acting

The script was poor

If anything was good about the film it'd be the cinematography

Like it seems 99 out of 100 people liked it and I'm wondering if I even saw the same movie

i'll probably like it just cause i dig japanese culture. the script in the trailer didn't seem too great though. better than paycheck however :|

I thought it was going to be amazing

The film did really want to make me go to Japan (but then again so did Kill Bill)

I feel let down because it was so hyped

See it mang and then maybe you could explain why everyone loves it

Sorry to hear about the job :'(

Still I'd bet you'd like the film anyway and I'd still be confused of why I don't

i never have any real reason that i like films anyway, i'm entertained by nearly all films.

ROTK dragged more than any other film i remember seeing this past year, considering all the rave reviews i got.

I usually agree with IMDB

I guess it's cool to be in minority sometimes

I could see it's the type of arty film that some people would like to just be "cool"

As I said though it's hardly the worst film ever but best film of the year, not even close

Yeah what The Miz said.

I was kinda disappointed too, given all the hype.

I saw it today... meh. much of it just seemed pointless.
