Hey hey! I'm your host with the least, David Wadding, finally back with the Easter edition of RTW. Praise Jebus and all that good stuff.

Yesterday, Christopher Nowinski aka That Harvard Guy scored 63. His career was too short and we dont rate on wasted potential here at TPWW *cheap pop*

Today, surprisingly, we have a guy that we haven't rated yet. A former WWE IC champ, he beat one of TPWW's favorites (Mr. Perfect *gum slap*) to win that prestigious title. Then, he passed on, but now he's here up for your consideration at RTW. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Texas Tornado, KERRY VON ERICH!

I loved the One Footed Wonder.
:y:
I had some fond memories of him in the early 90s, it's a shame what happened.

7.5 - he was good, but not amazing. His match against Mr Perfect at SS '90 was really good though

Its too bad about the Sportatorium. I think they could have made it a historical lardmark in Texas, had they wanted too. Its in a VERY bad part of dallas though.

I was always a Von Erich Family mark. 9.0

9, always was a favorite, I remember was him and Warrior on the same team winning at a Survior Series I believe over "the Perfect Team" If anyone knows correct me

IMO Kerry was had nowhere near the talent of his brother David. It should be interesting to note that Kerry only recieved a push when he did for the NWA Title because David died. I'm not trying to say he wasn't deserving or that he never would have recieved the shot though. Kerry was slightly less charismatic than the Warrior but definately a better worker. Two of his more famous singles matches were relatively short( vs Mr Perfect at SS 90; vs Dino Bravo at WM 7) and weren't able to showcase his true abilities. My personal favorite involving Kerry was a six-man tag at SummerSlam 1991. Unfortunately, like his brothers(except Kevin) he became his own worst enemy and took his life in 1993.

I gonna rate a Kerry Von Erich a 7

Ultimate Warrior, Legion of Doom and Texas Tornado vs Mr Perfect, Crush, Axe and Smash at the 1990 Survivor Series. Mr Perfect eliminated Texas Tornado with the Perfect Plex. Tornado was the IC champion at the time.

One of the first matches I saw (mainly because it's the first match on the tape! lol)

To rate him, I give him a 7.75 - Great finishers in the claw hold and that tornado discus punch but, as redoneja says, a very talented worker who simply lacked charisma.

Von Erich was decent. He was a legend in Texas, but considering that the family was feuding against the Freebirds, maybe their fame was based on the overness of Micheal Hayes and the boys.

But he was a good worker, but nothing worthy of insanely spectacular.

7.5.
