I can't believe I forgot about this.
Maybe there was a thread on this and I just didn't see it, or I'm legally blind, or both.

I don't really even want to talk about this, however, I can't believe it's been four years already. Wow. Just wow.

Man. Well, every additional year dulls the pain of how badly they botched The Invasion.

Everything went downhill from there...
1. Invasion botched.
2. Wrestling at a low point.
3. Not that much spontaneity and surprise.
4. Several old wrestlers re-introduced then disappeared....

Then again 4 years ago who would have thought Bradshaw would be defending the WWE title at a Wrestlemania? Crazy stuff

That sums it up nicely.

God, 4 years. Bradshaw was Hardcore Champion at that point I think (in APA).
It's been said before, but wrestling really DOES make time fly.

Ya the end of an era. If only WCW's real stars were in the Invasion

I can't believe it was that long ago i remember thinking how great it was that wwe had won the ratings war.
Unfortunatley each year since i keep wishing wcw was still around so that there was some form of competition.

If I'm honest, in the past 4 years there's only been one thing that made me go WOW.
And that is when this happened after Vengeance 2001.

Is that Sting and Flair hugging or is Flair about to execute a belly to belly suplex? Or did Sting choke on a pretzel and Flair is giving him the heimlick?
Four years ago....damn. I was eating cheeseburgers back then and I still am today

it was just about over when Shane "bought" WCW. Then it was almost entirely saved when ECW came in out of nowhere. Then it was stabbed, shot, hung, dead and buried when WCW/ECW merged and Steph "bought" ECW.
BTW: Booker looks bad ass there. Fucking assholes :nono:

I marked out when ECW was brought it..

ya Booker looks sick with the 2 belts. The WCW US title is the coolest looking belt ever
KayfabeMan

WCW's belts pretty much kicked WWF's belts asses - especially the late 90's versions of the WWF belts, when they started to suck major ass. WCW World, United States & Television Titles

Towards the end of WCW, their belts were getting traded around more than Ruien's phone number at an asshole convention. They didn't have much of an image by the time WCW got bought out.

Technically.....they do own those companies. Vince can't actually outright own WCW/ECW because he'd get in trouble with monopoly laws.
Then again, since when does Vince care?
I'm sad. YOU MADE ME THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED 4 YEARS AGO!

Yeah, and he was wearing that really crappy looking belt made out of a car licence plate. The old Hardcore title was way cooler.

Actually, I'm gonna correct myself here. I remember Jeff Hardy and RVD fighting for the old style Hardcore title at Invasion PPV. Bradshaw must have introduced the shitty one later. Can anyone tell me when that was?

Actually, Bradshaw's had the Texan flag on it. Tommy Dreamer's New York Hardcore Title was the licence plate one.

WCW was bought about a year after I started watching WWE, so I can't really say I'm crying buckets over it all. Though I think if it was still going today I'd probably watch it asswell as WWE. I can see how it must be upsetting, and as lame as this sounds right now, I don't know what I'd do if the WWE went. :(
