I searched for this and didn't find anything... This is a thread made specifically to name movies and shit that you love but others never seem to mention... This came about b/c I remembered a great movie called A Fish Called Wanda.. It's a comedy/caper movie with Kevin Klien, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Clies(sp?), and another dude from Montey Python..

Anyone seen it?? Good flick..

<font color=teal>I thought "A Fish Called Wanda" was a good movie.

Glengarry Glen Ross. I don't know if I would call it underrated, more like "unheard of". Great movie though.</font> :o

The following books are under-rated, and all done by Harry Turtledove:

Into the Darkness
Darkness Descending
Through the Darkness
Rulers of the Darkness
Jaws of Darkness
Out of the Darkness
In the Presence of Mine Enemies
Guns of the South

Also:

The Romance of Three Kingdoms by Luo Gonzhong (?)
The Giver (by ?)
The Art of War by Sun Tzu

How is that underrated??

How many people know of its existence?

I guess I'm giving by it from where I live. From what I know, only 7-8 people in my entire school, including teachers, have even heard of the author and/or book.

The Darkness books and Giver, on the other hand, are in my opinion under-rated books.

Just everytime I've heard it mentioned, it's been in high regaurds.. I guess it's not very "mainstream" but meh...

The "other Monty Python guy" was Michael Palin, if I remember right.

For me, the best underrated movie is "A Knight's Tale." It's so incredibly funny and so different than anything else. Plus, Alan Tudyk and Paul Bettany are two of my favorite actors in the world.

the show OZ is/was underrated and overshadowed by stuff like Sex & the City and the Sopranos etc. Kinda pisses me off, whenever I'm working and people come up and ask when the next season of one of those shows is coming out. But OZ takes forever to come out and I never hear anyone ask about it unless I recommended it to them.

Sorry bout the rant, pet peeve I guess. Maybe it's just in my town, and OZ is too "gritty" or something for these people.

It even seemed like HBO itself was ashamed of airing it when Sopranos etc. were really gaining momentum. It's like the blacksheep of HBO. :-\
