I'm rather suprised there not getting more attention right now. There in the 6th seed in the East right now dispite the 15 game suspension for O'Neal. The 25 game suspension for Jackson. The full season and playoff suspension to Artest. O'Neal going down for the rest of the season with 2 1/2 months left. Tinsley going down with the ankle injury for the rest of the season with 2 months to go. Pollard, Fred Jones, Bender ( pretty much out the whole season) and other key bench players suffering injuries and sickness's night in and night out. Yet they've managed to beat Miami 3 times this year ( 12 straight) San Antonio, Pheonix, Dallas, Detroit x2 including going to the Palace and having to sit on there own bus for 2 hours cause dipshit detroit fans called in bomb threats ( 4 bomb threats were called that night to Indiana's lockeroom).

There being led by a journeyman point guard who was aquired for his great defensive play off the bench and never really thought of as a floor general, in Anthony Johnson. A power foward who no one wanted and slipped through 20+ teams in waivers until finally Indiana decided they would love to bring the guy in to back up Jermain O'neal since he is still loved by Indiana fans , not knowing O'neal would be sidelined for the season a few nights later, in Dale Davis. A scrappy glass man who does all the dirty work he can do in 25 minutes of play and probably one of the most underated players in the league in Jeff Foster. A media proclaimed thug who has spent much of the season not only trying to clean up his image after the Brawl, but also giving Indiana huge scoring and great defense and huge shots ( haha Miami, haha). And last but not least. A 39 year old shooting legend who was suppose to be 3-4 years past his prime. Yet this year after announcing his retirement, he caught fire. He's averaged 21 points in the last 15 games. He's making the biggest plays in the biggest games and he has the state of Indiana believe there may still be hope. He's put this team on his back for one last time... Not cause he can, but because he has to. He has no choice. Thats why Reggie Miller is a first ballot hall of Fame player. When Jordan was playing in his last year. They moved him to SF so he didnt have to over use his body and he can preserve himself. Not Reggie Miller. He's still play 2 guard and he's Carrying this team on his back.

Best story of the year in the NBA and imagine if they win a round in the playoffs. Wow!

Coach Rick Carlisle should be coach of the year hands down. Possibly one of the greatest coaching jobs in NBA history IMO.

Ofcourse i'm a little biased, but cmon!

The Pacers situation this year really hurt basketball as a whole IMO. When one of the best teams is pretty much wiped away, and a MVP candidate from last year and the leagues best defensive player are out, it really takes away from the overall quality of the league IMO. I wish the Ron Artest was still around because I think that this year would have been Reggie Millers best chance at getting a championship if he were. It's a shame for the league that the Pacers weren't able to live up to their ability because of stupid shit like that.
