Should I buy a PS2?

I am not really a big video game player, but it seems like a fun way to pass some of my (lots of) free time.

I am sure it is good and all, but is it worth getting it now, or is it like gonna be obsolete soon?

The PS3 is due out late this year I think (not 100% sure)
What kind of games would you get into? The xbox is pretty cool because you can use it to store music etc.

Dunno, would probably try San Andreas, and then probably a couple sports games

Yeah I've been thinking the exact same thing. The PS2 is really cheap now but I dunno if I should bother because it will probably be out of date soon if the PS3 comes out any time soon and there's the PSP which looks pretty good as well.

Yea the PS3 will be expensive as ass...just buy a PS2 and by the time you're ready to get the PS3 at least 2 years will have gone by and the price would have surely dropped.

Well the X-box and PS2 are both about the same price now (£100 over here) so I'd say pick your favourite and go for it, passes the time.
