Somebody's Gotta Die
04-06-2005, 06:39 PM
WWE Backlash
Presented By RAW (GM: Eric Bischoff)

World Heavyweight Championship - Streetfight
Batista (champion) vs. Triple H

- Basically puts over the champ here... HHH pulls out all the stops, however he was not successful in defeating the reigning champion... They could go for about 25 minutes since it's a streetfight and do some exciting spots... Batista is dominant... This hopefully means that he'll head into an impressive winning streak culminating in a feud with the likes of Edge, Jericho, etc.

Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship
Shelton Benjamin (champion) vs. Chris Jericho

- Seems like a good match to have on the show... They could put on a clinic... Give them about 15 minutes here and they'll put on a solid Intercontinental Championship match... I'd keep the title on Shelton since Jericho doesn't really need it at this point... He's over enough to be a main event challenger at any time... The WWE bookers are simply holding him back... At least Benoit got that title reign last year which was semi-impressive... Something to remember him by... Hopefully Jericho gets another run in the near future... His "Undisputed" championship reign was pretty good aside from the getting burried to HHH...

World Tag-Team Championship
William Regal & Tajiri (champions) vs. Christian & Tomko

- Give Tomko & Christian the titles here... 10-12 minutes should probably do... They could make tag-team wrestling somewhat decent again... Keeping the titles on Regal/Tajiri is fine as well but they simply don't get enough exposure on RAW and this burries them along with the tag belts... Both guys are over and could make a good team but their "Triple Threat" matches for the title with the only 3 or 4 teams there are on RAW are limited to HEAT...

World Women's Championship - Handicap Title Match
Trish Stratus (champion) vs. Christy & Lita

- Christy/Lita win here, thus making them co-holders of the women's title... I know that neither one can really work, but this can be good for the crowd in general until Stratus gets the belt back... It's a true shame that the Women's division is limited to Stratus, Victoria and Molly, being the only ones that can work... The likes of Christy and Stacy are hardly contenders... The disappearaces or inactiveness of women like Gail Kim, Ivory, Jacqueline, Jazz, Nidia and Shaniqua have hurt the division, not so much Nidia and Shaniqua...

Singles Grudge Match
Edge vs. Chris Benoit

- Edge brutally attacked him on RAW... Might as well follow up with a little feud... Both guys can use some exposure to build them up so that Edge can become a title contender and so that Benoit isn't vanishing from the scene... Give these guys about 15 minutes and it'll be a solid match... I'm pretty sure about that one...

Singles Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Muhammad Hassan

- Should be good... Michaels could make Hassan look really good here, but realistically, there's no reason to be putting him over HBK after his loss to Angle... The fans will eat up HBK beating his ass on PPV and winning... About 10-12 minutes and it should be good enough...

Special Challenge Match
Kane vs. Chris Masters

- Might as well do this one... Neither man is heading in a certain direction... I'd put Kane over here, although Kane needs a serious character revamp... He's getting very stale and is no longer a main eventer... Masters needs the PPV exposure the most if anything... Give him a strong showing though, obviously... 8 minutes would probably be plenty...

Special Attraction Match (Special REFEREE: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin)
Eugene vs. Daivari

- Put Austin on the card simply for his exposure... Fans would love to see Eugene stomp a mudhole in Daivari while Austin referees and joins in on the fun... Seems like something the WWE might do, anyways... Maybe not with Daivari, though...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT

Gene Snitsky vs. Rhyno

- I'd obviously put Rhyno over, but definitely not happening... Snitsky would be the winner... :meh: It's HEAT... Rhyno deserves a damn push... Burying him Val Venis-style makes no sense to me since he's so young and can be a good IC champion... Especially with an ECW PPV coming soon... That's the last ECW World/TV Champion, damn it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOT BOOKED ON BACKLASH

On HEAT...
Rhyno & Gene Snitsky

Off Card...
Randy Orton (injured)
Matt Hardy (injured/inactive)
Steven Richards (injured)
The Hurricane (going nowhere with Rosey and the gimmick)
Rosey ( :meh: )
Val Venis (obvious reasons)
Maven (obvious reasons)
Simon Dean (obvious reasons)
La Resistance (obvious reasons)
Viscera (obvious reasons)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Man, a roster trade sometime to refresh some stale guys like Booker, Show, Benoit, etc is pretty key at this point... SmackDown! is very bland altogether and RAW could use a few adjustments because there's too many main event quality guys in the Intercontinental title scene when people like Heidenreich and Snitsky get lots of exposure...

Don't bury Xtian with the tag titles....have a four way w/ Beniot, Benjamin, Xtian, and Jericho for the IC title and have Christian cleanly win.

Keep Edge off the wrestling side of the card and have him do commentary and interfere in the main event.
