View Full Version : Rhyno might have gored himself right into the unemployment line.

- There is what is described to me as major heat on Rhyno right now after an incident at the Universal Sheraton (where WWE booked most of the wrestlers during Wrestlemania 21 week) after Rhyno destroyed a large ceramic flowerpot in the foyer of the hotel and also threatened the life of a bystander during an argument with his wife shortly after the Wrestlemania 21 post-party began in front of a number of witnesses.
Rhyno was escorted to his hotel room by WWE management and did not return to the party. The company is furious about the situation as he was booked in the hotel by them, and was therefore representing the company. They are also upset that the incident happened before a number of witnesses including fans who were hanging out in the hotel lobby. Rhyno wasn't used on the Raw taping the following day. There is lots of talk that he could be released from his contract because of this unnaceptable behavior.

Hey, fuck Rhyno. He should've taken a lesson from a few other superstars. While he was being escorted to his room by WWE management, Edge was banging his wife.

Damn it! They can't fire the MadMan.. I mean... Rhyno.
Well, if he gets fired, it's a loss for WWE. They didn't use him and they will regret it.. hopefully. Just more disrespect for the MadM--I mean, Rhyno.
Rhyno gets fired and yet Holly and Masters still has a job. Where's the frickin' justice?!

Rhyno sucks and would be no big loss.
He had two moves in ECW and only one move in the WWE.
That's one less jobber they'd have on their roster.

Lets just say for a minute that he went to TNA....
Would they change his name...because ECW had the rights to Rhino...which is why when he made his WWE debut he was Rhyno. So now if WWE has the rights to Rhyno and Rhino..whats left for him? But thats not the point here I guess.
I hope TNA picks him up if he is let go and they do something with him. Sure he wasnt that big of a deal but people think of him as ECW. Im sure TNA could have a good use for him.

Rhino or Rhyno's out. He could go get another animal's name... let's say, the rhino's closest relative, the Tapir.
"Making his way to the ring, weighing 250lbs... TAPIR!"
It could work. :-\

im amazed rhyno stuck around this long. Not watching Heat, i can't remember seeing him since he gored Jericho in the lumberjack match he had with HHH before Taboo Tuesday.
At least if he went to TNA, he'd get some airtime. And hopefully gore the crap out of Jarrett.

Weird. This totally sounds unlike what I've heard about Rhyno as the person. He's usually pretty calm and a nice guy...
I guess you can do whatever the heck you want backstage, no matter how serious, but if you blow up in front of fans, you're dead.
Guess he should have started doing KKK symbols instead. I mean... similar thing worked for Bradshaw. *sigh*

Tru...but don't forget; one less jobber on the roster means one more decent mid-card wrestler gets turned INTO the next jobber.

Poor WWE, a wrestler had the nerve to have a family issue arise during a hotel stay they arranged. Nothing like that has ever happened before. Poor poor WWE, the victim of yet another senseless attack perpertrated against them. I wonder if they have paypal, I'd like to send them $1,000 dollars, as some sort of restitution.
I hope you guys follow my lead.

See JBL, Goosestep
JBL has friends in high places (UT, etc.), so they couldn't have fired him if they'd wanted to.
Vince has already shat on the entirety of ECW, so he can get rid of Rhyno, no questions asked.

Brilliant.
Rhyno was decent in ECW, but the watered down version of him we've been getting with the WWE is almost sad to watch. He was like "Iron" Mike Sharpe 2K. I don't think many people will notice/care that he's gone.

Ryno or Rino...I don't think that's so bad.
Anyhow, I hope he does go to TNA and gets somewhere though. Knowing TNA however, he'll get signed...and in the next PPV Main Event he'll make a run in and debut! Also, Jarrett will retain the title.

It didn't hurt though that Vince was probably rock hard from the goosestep incident. But yeah, tenure.
I can't say I'll horribly miss Rhyno in the WWE. PLUS, it gives another run-in/contender/fodderboy for Planet Jarrett

It's a shame if he does get fired. I have always liked him ever since he set foot in the WWE. He was part of some matches which I rated very highly.

Probably things will go like:
1) Appear at the ECW pay-per-view.
2) Then get fired.
That's the best reason I can think of why he's around, anyway.

- According to Dave Meltzer over at WrestlingObserver.com, Rhyno has not been released contrary to many rumors circulating around the internet today.
He has been taken off live event tours as a result of the incident in L.A. This is not to say that he will not be released at some point, but as of now, no final decision has been made regarding his future.

Much like all former ECW wrestlers..... They all had the appearence of being a dangerous opponent in the ring. I knew as soon as they brung in Rhyno that he was going to get Tazz'd. I'm surprised he's been around this long.
So who do we vote for to take his place as Heat jobber?

Vince is probably saying "NOW we have a real reason to let him go, other than 'We don't know how to make you draw.'"

According to several sources, World Wrestling Entertainment informed Rhyno this afternoon that he was being released, stemming from the post-Wrestlemania 21 incident at the Universal Sheraton in California. As noted earlier this week on PWInsider.com, Rhyno shattered a large flowerpot vase in the foyer of the hotel during an argument (http://www.pwinsider.com/elite/ViewArticle.asp?id=9416&p=1). WWE management brought Rhyno back to his hotel room and he flew home from Los Angeles the following day, as opposed to staying for the Raw taping.
The former ECW World and World Television champion was signed by the then-WWF shortly after Extreme Championship Wrestling shut down operations in 2001. He debuted with the company on 3/19/01, aligned with Edge and Christian (who he broke into the business with). When ECW was revived as part of the Invasion storyline, Rhyno was moved to that faction but was quickly gone from storylines, undergoing surgery in November 2001 to fuse a herniated disc under Dr. Lloyd Youngblood.
Returning a year later, Rhyno made his Wrestlemania in-ring debut at Wrestlemania XIX, teaming with Chris Benoit in a Three-Way with Team Angle and Los Guerreros. He was never utilized in a major pushed singles role, but did hold the WWE Hardcore championship on three occasions. His most recent run was as part of a tag team with another former ECW star Tajiri, challenging and losing to then-WWE World Tag Team champions La Resistance. There's no word if the release will change Rhyno's status for the ECW One Night Stand PPV, which will utilize outside talent on 6/12 in New York City.
