One part in paticular bugs the hell out of me. They are talking to RVD and he mentions remebering the fans being a sea of black t-shirts and how it was like a rock concert. And while saying that, they cut to a shot of ECW fans, and I think one guy is wearing a black shirt, everyone else is in white or light blue. I don't know, but the little details like that are all over the DVD.
There are a few others that I can't remeber.
Also they kind of glazed over a lot of the stuff at the end. They never made mention of the guys they had at the end like Rhino, Justin Credible, Lance Storm, or anyone like that.
Plus they spent a lot of time on guys that didn't seem like the true stars of ECW. Such as Steve Austin or Jericho. I mean they were there and all, but if memory serves, Austin was in and out fast, and so was Jericho, neither were core to ECW. It just seems that they spend a little too much time talking them up. It is just word assocation, if I say name 5 ECW wrestlers, I'm willing to bet it isn't going to include Austin, Jericho, Rey Mystiro Jr., or really any other big name WW(F)E wrestler besides Cactus Jack. It would probably be more like Shane Douglas, Sabu, Cactus, Raven, Tommy Dreamer, and Terry Funk (yeah I know that was 6). I'm just saying if they are going to spend that much time on guys that were in and out of the company just like that, then they could mention Rhino was the last ECW champion or the Jerry Lynn/RVD feud that carried the company in the dying days.
Don't get me wrong, the DVD is still pretty good, but it just now seems very self serving to WWE to have made it. I'm sure if Rock was in ECW for one show before coming to WWE, they would have spend an hour on that. Then rushed through the Raven Dreamer feud.

No matter what, the WWE will never give ECW all the credit it deserves. They will always present there product in a fare better light. Which is why more tme is spent on Austin and Jericho.

On the word association part, depending on the time of day or my mood or WHATEVER, you'd be pretty likely to catch the names Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko. Sure, I didn't see them in ECW very long, but I remember their ECW matches, and therefore kind of associate them with ECW, even if their stints weren't that much longer than Austin's.

Yeah, I was had that thought, that is why I didn't add them in with Jericho and Austin. But then again, Eddie, Malenko, and Beniot (and Jericho) I would more assaciate them with WCW than ECW.
Still to me there are guys that were ECW and guys in ECW. All the guys named about were in ECW. Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu, Raven, Taz, Cactus, Funk and Douglas were ECW.

Also, I still feel one of the best things ECW ever did do was die while it was young. It maybe over rated, but at least it didn't even embarass itself the way WCW, WWE, and various other promotions have in there old age.

From a fan standpoint, that's certainly an arguable point, but obviously from a business standpoint, if you're the WWE, even if you've become an "embarassment", at least you're still in business and still making money. :$

It's RVD. What do you expect? Total Memory recall?

The lack of Raven material, and even lack of Sandman material to me was pretty disappointing. And they had like, nothing, on Rhyno or Taijiri, even though they didn't play a huge part...

Agreed. These guys deserve more time on the DVD.

yeah I had to agree.
I expected more Raven, more Sandman. I even wanted somethin with Rey Jr. and the cruiserweights. I mean Bischoff pulleed quite a few from ECW to WCW.
But yeah they spent too much time still promotin their own guys but nontheless it was a good DVD.
