Probably a dumb question, but if I bought a video game in the USA and took it home to the UK, would it play on my UK console?

Well you can if you have a certain disc.Thats all I know.
Dunno any details really.If its a Ps2 I think you need to 'chip' it aswell

Some Xbox games don't have region protection on them, but the only one I can think of off hand is Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
I know Microsoft don't enforce region protection, it's up to the publishers or developers.
