Sources close to the situation confirm that WWE has officially released Aaron "Jesus" Aguilera and Will "Chilly Willy" Jones. Jesus, who appeared on SmackDown! several months back, had been nursing an injury. Jones was signed to an OVW deal after returning from Iraq, where he earned a purple heart. He was also a past performer for ECW.

These cuts mark the fourth and fifth releases of the week, as the two join Rhyno, Paul Bearer and Matt Hardy.

No one I care much about really. Never got a chance to see Chilly in ECW, and Jesus wasn't active long enough for me to care about him.

If mods wanna merge this with another thread about people being fired so we don't have a ton go ahead.

Harsh. Never really given a chance. Shame his one match would be a match against Cena in which he had no offence. I heard he was a decent talent.

Chilly Willy went to Iraq? Crazy. Whenever I think of that guy I see a huge black dude with bleach blonde hair power bombing one of Da Baldies through two chairs. I could never imagine him in the army.

That sucks too. He was a pretty good wrestler for a big guy. But I guess Chris Masters is just that much better... fuck.

Sounds about right.

"We would like to salute our troops as long as it means that we're causing our American soldiers more work for security. But in terms of continuing to employ a veteran, fuck off."

I'm actually suprised that they didn't take advantage of the situation by putting Willy on TV ( who I actually thought was OK from what I saw in ECW) and pimping some pics of him in Iraq. The WWE is usually so good at leeching free pub from every source possible.

You couldn't have squeezed this guy on Smackdown/Velocity for the cheap pops he'd get? Meh.

Jesus was really good!

Why the hell are the WWE ditching all these guys without giving them a chance?
It makes no fucking sense to me!
