Didn't you notice the crowd laugh in agreement when Christian said he'd kick Marky Mark's ass for the WWE Title? Was he shooting on him? It did sound odd

Same goes for when Triple H said something about Cena the RAW after The Royal Rumble (ie. Not only did Batista eliminate him, but he did it three...thre thre threee....threeeeee times)

He gets savior heat AKA Wrestlers backstage don't like him. I think cause he doesn't follow the dress code.

So do wrestlers backstage like him or not? I'm sure it's because Triple H hates rap music

Altho remember that it was Stephanie McMahon who originally suggested Cena use the gimmick after hearing him freestyle.

So Stephanie McMahon was responsible for one of the more popular characters (mark-wise) in the WWE today.

Could it be that Christian was doing it to set up a feud with the upcoming draft?

I know this is shocking, and far less likely than the "shoot" argument. I mean, I have trouble buying the WWE planning more than a week ahead.

If he has heat it's because his in ring work has been falling off the mark lately.

Meh. It's no different from JBL demeaning Triple H and referring to himself as a wrestling God, by comparison.

Christian was just making a point that he could kick the WWE Champ and World Champ's asses and deserves a shot at one of the major world titles.

I say let Christian take on Cena for the belt....and kick Cena's ass.

Christian for champ in 2k5

I'm going to go out o a limb here and say tha the Christian thing was planned out as a set-up for a feud after the draft. And, actually, Christian/Cena would be the goods.

Yes, KK, the WWE is using forethought.

I'm gonna say the Trips comment was probably ad-libbed and just showed a little petty jealousy on Hunter's part. He seems like the kinda guy that just doesn't laugh much and, as stated, HATES rap/hip-hop.

I love those kind of off-the-cuff shots though. Funny stuff...like a couple weeks back when JR made those comments about Lita being "willing to go anywhere" and whenever he goes on about his ex-wives. Good stuff, and funny cuz its true.

To reiterate...Cena/Christian = good times

Absolutely NOT a shoot from Christian. Just planting seeds for a feud.

El Santo

It could be the seeds of a feud, or it just might be hype for the Draft. As in the "If I am traded, I will get the Championship Title of Smackdown/Raw" kind of talk. There was a lot of that going around during last year's draft. John Cena himself did a promo that he wanted to get traded to Raw.

If last year's draft had the time to boil that this year's draft has (that is, a month build-up instead of a week), we probably would've seen the same thing. I expect, in the coming weeks, not just Christian but other Raw stars taking potshots at the current Smackdown Champion.

You're probably right on Trips' thoughts.

Christian's was very clearly tied to the Draft though, and I think people are reading too much into it.

He did good for a while. Both in ring and promo wise. but his matwork has gone to shit and his mic skills make Austin look like Windton Churchill (And not in drinking ability).

Have you been watchin RAW at all? Christian is basically the ENTIRE mid-card besides Benjamin,Jericho, & Benoit.

His ability in the ring is phenominal and his mic work is hilarious. "Captain Chrisma" is perhaps the funniest self-nick-name I've heard of in wrestling yet......

Christian could be better in the ring, but, that's partly due to rushed matches. Usually, Christian's matches showcase 4-9 minutes of action before Tomko gets involved. It's cool if Tomko is somehow serving a purpose; but, he's not.

To the supposed "shoot" on Cena; I don't think it was personal, just a quick add-lib that fit perfectly and was funny.....

I realize this. That's why I said earlier I don't think it was an actual "shoot" on Cena, just an add-libbed line by Christian. I was simply pointing out how good Christian is[which most people already know anyway]. Why do you take it to heart to continually try and find things to argue with me about? Is it that important for you to keep something going? We have already taken two topics up because of arguing over differences in opinion. Don't you think two topics are enough? Or wait, you might call me a "fuckwit" because no one was questioning Christian's greatness, when, essentially I pointed it out because it's my OPINION[which is basically the pattern you have followed since flaming me. Calling my stuff "illogical" when all you are doing in return arguing is your OWN opinion, which is NOT fact neither, just a difference in personal opinion].

Geez, it doesn't even look like we disagree on anything[yet] and you are already looking for reasons to argue :n:
I dunno about you, but, I'm not thrilled about spending my time arguing something that won't change anyway;differences in opinions.

PureHatred

So you posted a quote where Innovator made a disparaging remark about a worker's ring performance and you then post several paragraphs about how good Christian is.

ANYONE reading this would take it to mean you are defending Christian as a way of disagreeing with Innovator, even though Innovator was referring to Cena's performance as a possible reason for any heat he has backstage.

KK points out this mistake, this innocent mistake you made, and you can't even own up to it: again you try to point out how you've been "misunderstood." What is your deal? Either you need to brush up on your communication skills, or you just can't admit when you say things that are clearly WRONG. This even goes back to the JESUS discussion.

Shit like that is why people spend more time flaming you than debating you.

I wasn't looking to argue, I was looking to correct what even another party has stated was clearly either A) Misworded or B) Misinterpretted when you originally wrote it.

I don't know why you have to take it as an act of hostility immediately, especially since you're the one who says he has better things to do than get into arguments.

It's simple. You made a mistake. Either you misinterpretted what was said, or you miswrote what you meant to say. Just own up to it and move on. It's really not the end of the world, and will only become an issue if you make one out of it. Nobody's going to report you to the TPWW secret police.

Honestly, I make it pretty easy to tell if I'm attacking you. The internet is a difficult medium for conveying intent, so I used remarks that are clealy attacks. If you don't see things like "fucking moron," "retard," or "are you on crack?" Odds are I'm not. IT's no fun being subtle.

Bottom line: Not fighting. Explaining.

Although in his[Innovator's post], he was talking about Cena, he said "his in-ring work has been falling a little off the mark lately" when talking in a topic about both Christian and Cena. So, it's a little tough to know which "he" Innovator was referring to. As for my "bad communication skills", they must not be all that bad seeing as how most people jump on whatever it is I'm sayin' and use it to take shots at me directly.

I was a bit assumptious to think KK was flaming me[although he may have been innocently pointing out facts, he has made it a point to do so in the past towards me, so, that's how I took it. My bad if you weren't flaming. Again, it's tough to know what people are saying from what they mean sometimes, as I'm not a mind-reader and don't plan on taking up the habit anytime in the forseeable future], so, I own up to it. As I've stated in previous posts, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'll be the first to admit it.

However, this continual attempt to make me look dumb is just more evidential to the fact that people on this board will look for any reason to argue;

I was simply stating my opinion on Christian's ring work because Innovator made refrence to one of the two's ring work sucking[which I believe neither have, but, that's besides the point].

But, to get back on the actual topic, I feel Christian moving to SmackDown would only help his character. This would in turn, probably leave Tomko on RAW, to either sink or swim[which I doubt he'll fail, as McMahon seems to have a general liking to bigger size guys]. A feud between Cena & Christian would kick ass. However, I see guys like Kane or Jericho being higher up on the list to become WWE Champion before a mid-carder like Christian[even though Kane & Jericho have been stuck in the upper-mid card for awhile now]. This sucks because Christian is indeed talented. I still fail to realize how Christian hasn't gotten to main-eventing yet. He's been with the company since 98 or 99 and most people are main-eventing after being in the WWE that long; What can ya say though? Whatever happens, I just hope the "Captain Charisma" character doesn't lose any credibility and he isn't stuck jobbing to guys like Heidenreich & Reigns on Velocity if he is indeed traded to SD.....

I realize this Steele. Why do you think I owned up to the fact that both sides misunderstood;

Me-for thinking that Christian was the "he" Innovator was referring to

KK-For pointing it out, not knowing that "he" could mean anyone, even Christian[since he was actually IN the topic title].

Aside from that, I don't have any problem with the newbie being made to "pay his dues" if you will. I could care less, actually. I was just trying to clarify my misunderstanding as well as pointing out that "he" could've been meaning Christian as well......

Lot's review the general direction of the thread:

"Were they shooting on Cena?"

"He gets savior/X-pac heat"

"So, do wrestlers like him?"

If he has heat it's because his in ring work has been falling off the mark lately.

All of these, including the actual topic of this thread, were all directly referring to John Cena. You missed it, asshat. That's all. Saying it's "a little tough to know who Innovator was talking about" like the whole message board thing is a total mystery is a little weak.
