WWE is considering running an angle following the Royal Rumble where the winner of the Royal Rumble match decides whether he wants to face the RAW Champion or Smackdown Champion at WrestleMania. This will leave the door open for Goldberg to win the Rumble and go on to face Smackdown Champion Brock Lesnar, but also keeps things flexible.
One option if WWE does not go ahead with the Goldberg/Brock Lesnar match is to have a Smackdown star, possibly John Cena, win the Rumble and then go on to feud with the RAW Champion (likely Triple H) for WrestleMania XX. WWE is considering moving Cena to RAW permanently and making him the brand's top face following WMXX since RAW will not have a major face then (assuming Goldberg does not sign a new deal with WWE).

There is also talk of Chris Benoit winning the Rumble and going on the face Triple H as well (more likely). These are the current plans that WWE is looking at.

I said this in another topic: that would seriously undermine the roster split concept, which WWE reportedly does not want.

But Cena on Raw sounds good to me.

I think it'd be pretty cool seeing Goldberg vs. Brock Leasner, it won't be scientific, but it'll be one hell of a spectical.

While I agree, they're hardly doing they're best to maintain the integrity of the roster split.

Yeah... but I don't want Cena to leave Smackdown. I'd honestly rather have Benoit leave, even though that'd be heartbreaking too. I'm that big of a Cena mark. :)

Benoit's the lesser of two evils. Either one would hit the glass ceiling on Raw, but at least Benoit's been kinda killed off on Smackdwon time and time again. Cena's actually got a push going.

I dont think Cena is leaving, I think its Benoit.

The next RAW PPV is in Edmonton (which is Benoit's hometown), and I think I read somewhere that HHH/Benoit has been booked on some overseas tours.
