This movie looks decent and with Ridley Scott directing it makes me want to watch the movie even more. Scott did a great job with Gladiator hopefully he comes up with another good one here.

Yeah, looks good. I just think people are wary of Orlando Bloom in the main role.

I'm more wary of it because the last 3 "epic" films have been lackluster at best. Troy was OK, could have been a lot better, same with King Arthur, and I didn't even bother with Alexander.
I'm not much of an Orlando Bloom fan, but I am a Ridley Scott fan and Gladiator is the goods.
Plus it's a big budget summer movie, and I'm a sucker for them.

I hope it has some depth to it. It has tons of potential to be so. I know it's an action movie however, but I for one would welcome a deep plot at the expense of some action.

I thought King Arthur was better than it perhaps truly was because I had never heard that type of story about the King Arthur legend.

Yeah it was an interesting take on the King Arthur story. I still want to see the Directors Cut.

I'll see it because Ridley Scott directed it and because Edward Norton is in it
although Orlando Bloom as the lead actor makes me want to vomit

What's the thing with Orlando Bloom always doing movies that take place centuries in the past like in Troy, LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean?

Why the hate for Orlando Bloom anyway?

Because he's an elf! It's not cool hating black or asian people, so we've moved to elves now.

Haha
I have no hate for him. I think he's ok but from what I've heard people are wary of him being in main role.

I'm definitely seeing it... it's actually got period armor and stuff. (meaning it actually has realism and 'time period' based stuff, instead of so much that wouldn't have really been worn in those days)

What? I loved it.. it was amazing, and just as realistic as I hoped.. even more-so. Also, Orlando Bloom surprised the fuck out of me.. he was actually good.

I'm gonna catch it this weekend or next. Looks like a nice popcorn flick. I loved Gladiator, and this looks like more of the same, which is perfectly okay with me.

Does have at least a semi true stance on the crusades? Or is it more of a fantasy land movie?

The first hour bored the hell out of of me and the climax wasn't great either.

Thought it was pretty good. Not as good as Gladiator but better than Troy, and I haven't seen Alexander but from what I've heard I'm sure it's better than that too.
