ECW PPV related...(Smackdown Spoiler inside)

I was reading the results of the tapings and Matt Morgan beat some guy named Mikey Whiplash. You don't have to be a rocket scientist....or even CBright to see the resemblance there. With Morgan having a s-s-s-s-stuttering gimmick, a la Bubba Ray, and beating cheap rip offs...this led me to believe that this is how they will bring in the ECW PPV.

Thoughts on this idea, discuss or forever shut up.

They had the bullshit stutter gimmick in ECW, IIRC. Buh Buh had it when they debuted in WWE as well.

Nope he did in the very very early days of the Dudley Stable, when they were a comedy wrestling group rather than when Buh Buh and D-Von broke away (with Sign Guy) and became the destructive force that the Dudley Boyz were known for in the long run.

:wtf: K so u all must have not watched much ECW, in late 95 early 96. Bubba Ray had the stuttering gimmick then. He dropped it when he turn hell, and did become a very good promo guy. He redid it when they debuted in the WWE.

I don't know why...honest to god I do not remember Bubba ever stuttering in ECW. I was never much of a fan of the Dudleys until about 98 so I never paid close attention, but I still for the life of me don't remember them doing that. Again feeling quite dumb, sorry to all, I know I must of seen it, maybe I've been drinking, smoking, and snorting too much latly, but I have been tape trading to get ECW on my TV since 93, and I can not can not CAN NOT remember Bubba ever stuttering before comming to WWF. :(

Infact I am going to go find some old ECW tapes and get to the bottom of this once and for all... (walks away in shame)

Yeah, I actually don't have any of the stuff, I just know because it was mentioned everywehre when they made their WWF debut. Might have seen some of it somewhere at some point can't remember.


As a sidenote: Dances with Dudley is the best ring name ever.

Well, all this makes sense so far. Let's not forget the fact that the Rise of ECW DVD theme music is Morgan's theme! I like to see this possible continuing build-up for the PPV.

Well there is actually an easter egg on the Rise and Fall of ECW with a old school vid montage (sp) that shows an early Dudley in-ring promo with, as stated above, Dudley Dudley, Daddy, Dick, and Dances. Ummm...ill post again on how to get to the easter egg fellas
