Post random storyline ideas here. Doesn't have to be current rosters or any certain company. Just ideas that you think would appeal to the wrestling audience or make that particular product more interesting and exciting. Any ideas from any company during any time period. Let's see how creative we can be.
--------------------
I had an idea for Tazz should he choose to come out of retirement. On an average Smackdown some huge, ripped, unknown guy comes through the crowd and interrupts a match between 2 mid-carders (kinda like Brock Lesnar did when he was introduced on camera), after pulverizing both wrestlers he gets on the mic and introduces himself. He says that he was just a regular guy working a regular job. He says his life was pretty dull and he knew he wanted so much more. Then one night he caught ECW on TV and Taz was wrestling. He says after that he was hooked on wrestling, especially watching TAz wrestle. Watching Taz made him realize that wrestling just might be his true calling. So he trained and he worked out and got in perfect shape and began wrestling in the independents.
He says that if it wasn't for Taz he would still be that regular guy working that regular job in whatever small town he's from. But because of Taz he's a wrestling star. Because Taz was such a machine in the squared circle he wanted be just like him. He wanted to be as great a competitor as Taz was. He says he has more respect for Taz than his own father. During all this the mystery man seems sincere and thankful for the inspiration Taz was in his life. Then he pauses, turns toward Taz and his whole attitude changes and he's suddenly pissed off. He then says something like "Now look at you!! You're nothing more than a fat, Jerry Lawler ripoff! You're not the Human Suplex Machine!! You're not a One Man Crime Spree!! You're a damn joke!!
He just continues to belittle Tazz and talk about he was the one that made him want to be a wrestler and now he's nothing but a has-been and how he's not the animal he once was.So he challenges Tazz to a match. Tazz just laughs it off and completely ignores the guy. So the guy tells Tazz that he doesn't seem to be taking him seriously. He says bad things happen to people who don't take him seriously. He tells Tazz he'll be back and one way or another Tazz will come out of retirement and face the monster helped created.
So the next week Tazz is in the ring interviewing somebody when the mystery man comes out of nowhere and attacks Tazz from behind. He then suplexes Tazz several times with Tazz's own suplexes and finally he puts Tazz in the Tazzmission and chokes him out. Tazz is off Smackdown for several weeks and Michael Cole tells us each week that no one has seen or heard from Tazz since he was carried out after being beaten and choked out by this mystery guy who seems to be obsessed with Tazz. So after a few weeks the mystery man, who has begun using "War Machine" as his theme music and wearing tights similar to Tazz's old ones, cuts a promo saying he's the NEW Suplex Machine, the NEW One Man Crime Spree, and that Tazz is nothing but a forgotten memory who forgot who he was.
So Tazz's WWE music hits and the mystery guy gets ready to fight, but Tazz doesn't come out. Suddenly Tazz's logo appears on the big screen then Tazz is show with a towel over his head. He cuts an old school promo and tops it off with the ole "Beat Me If You Can, Survive If I Let You". The mystery guy gets all hyped up and is ready to fight when he sees the promo. We soon find out that at the next PPV we're gonna see Tazz and the mystery man in a submission match.
Naturally Tazz goes over with the Tazzmission but after the match the mystery man attacks him and beats him down again. So the next few weeks on Smackdown the 2 men promo against each other and get into a couple of brawls here and there. So Teddy Long books another match between the 2 at the next PPV. But this time it will be an Ironman Cage match. So this time the mystery man wins and after the match the to bloodied, and beaten men shake hands and the feud ends. Afterwards the 2 men team up here and there as they are both face. Suddenly one night after they lose a match, Tazz turns heel and beats the shit out of the mystery man.
--------------------
Well that's about it. Obviously that would never happen in a million years but I'm a Taz (not Tazz) mark and it's nice to dream. If anybody has any modifications to my idea that they think would make it more interesting feel free to share them or just post your own storyline ideas.

How Steven Richards could credibly become WWE champion in 4 weeks:
Week #1: Sunday Night Heat
Stevie is booked in a match agaisnt Gene Snitksy, with the winner getting a shot at the IC title. He pulls off a win via DQ (as Snitsky will probably try to kill him with a chair).
Week #2: RAW
Stevie faces Shelton Benjamin for the Intercontinental title. He incredibly wins the match with a cheap pinfall (rollup with the tights). New IC champ: Steven Richards
Week #3: RAW
Mr McMahon looks through the locker room for a world title contender and decides to take the man that has made a quick rise to the top, that is, Steven Richards. Vince tells him he can either give up the IC title and get a world title shot or stick with the IC title but with no title shot. Stevie takes option #1.
Week #4: Vengeance (PPV)
Stevie faces Batista for the World title. He loses the match via squash, but Batista keeps on attacking him after the match, forcing Mr McMahon to come out and award the world title to a bloody Steven Richards.

I made a thread like this once. One of the first I made. Good memories. I believe I had some storyline to make Christian into a main eventer.

I like Taz...I wish I could see him wrestle his ECW style more, but fact remains he is retired from the ring (happily from what I have heard) and it wont happen...
And by the say that Stevie Richards Idea...no. Nothing about that was Credible. Nothing. Even if that is how he won the IC title people would be crying for blood. Marks would be confused, Smarks would be pissed off, Vince McMahon would be on drugs and the entire wrestling industry would collapse under the amount of bullshit that was put on it's shoulders. Not that I don't like Stevie, but NOTHING can make a jobber into World Title Holder (credibly) in 4 weeks. Nothing.

Morganised Crime
Matt Morgan is a kid with talent, and I think he could make it big time, but his "Rah! Me Mor*puff*gan!" won't get him there. The fans seem to take an interest when he beats the crap out of someone, more than most guys at his level do.
Anyway, I'd personally have him interupt an episode of RAW in the near future, specifically when Simon Dean and Maven are doing one of their promos. Morgan says he's a real Tough Enough Champion, and Simon Dean throws powder in the eyes of Morgan, but Matt just laughs it off. He beats the Hell out of Simon Dean & Maven, and then say she's out here for one man...Paul Heyman. He compares himself to Brock Lesnar, and how he has the talent, he just needs the direction, and Heyman is the man to guide him. Morgan asks Heyman to do something with this...Blueprint.
On SmackDown!, Hardcore Holly is pissed off that some young kid is running his mouth, and Morgan insults Holly by calling him "Sparky" and "Baldcore". Eventually Charlie Haas steps in for Hardcore, and we have Morgan vs. Haas later that night. Haas puts up a fight, but Morgan beats him with his finishing move. Hardcore Holly vs. Matt Morgan in a Hardcore Match is signed for Judgment Day.
Morgan absolutely squashes Hardcore Holly at Judgment Day, and again pleads his case with Heyman. Out comes Paul E., and he accepts Morgan as his new scholar.
Where to go from here. You basically have Morgan take a more steady Brock Lesnar route. He takes up the nickname "The Blueprint", and who knows, maybe the WWE will get lucky with him.

Jericho comes out on Raw and calls out Shelton Benjamin. Shelton comes down to the ring and Jericho hypes the match between them at the next PPV. Jericho looks at Shelton and say that hes not worth fighting. Jericho drops the mic and walks to the back leaving Shelton stunned in the ring. Christian then sneak attacks Shelton with a steel chair.
Later on that night, Batista is having a match with Kane for the title and the two of them are going at it with Batista looking to pick up the victory when Jericho comes down the ramp and starts laying into Batista. He drops him too the floor, hits a lionsault and then puts the walls on, with Batista selling it well.
Next week, Triple H comes down to the ring and calls out Jericho, asking him what his agenda is (due to Batista being Triple H's opponent). Does Jericho want to join Evolution? Jericho comes out and explains to Trips that he does not want to become a member of the assclown brigade but realized that he is the Ayatolla of Rock N Rolla and that he deserves more than the IC title. He wants the world title. Bischoff schedules a match between Jericho and the winner of the ppv main event for the next night on Raw. Jericho can win it or lose the match (if he loses then it has to look like he'll win the match otherwise the build up is wasted.)
Hopefully this puts Jericho over and into the world title picture. And also puts Christian in the IC title fued with Shelton.

It's the night after Backlash. Batista is still the World Champion. The show begins with Batista in the ring cutting a promo on how he beat HHH again, and how he is unbeatable. Then, Christian makes an appearance saying how everyne thought he didn't have a chance on the last Raw, and he was just fodder for Batista. He requests a one-on-one, no inteferance, no Evolution, no Tomko match with Batista. Batista just laughs this off and Christian backs off, and leaves.
Later, during the main event, which could be a tag match or something involiving both Edge an Batista, Christain hits the ring and takes out both Edge and Batista with a chair, and steals Edges breifcase. This could lead to another ladder match or something with Edge, with the winner (Christian) getting the contract. He could then be traded to Smackdown, where it is explained that the contract still stands, Christian uses his clause at Summerslam, and beats Marky Mark for the title.

It isn't worth it now, but back in the summer (if JBL hadn't had the belt), how perfect would it have been to do an angle with JBL running for the SmackDown! GM spot against someone like John Cena? The real election was going on, and was huge news, JBL is the perfect character for that type of thing, and did Teddy Long really need to be around?
They could have done debates and smear campaigns (a mock video about how John Cena isn't really a ghetto street thug, with interviews with Cena's middle class 'boyhood friends' would have been great) and had video packages every show about their campaigns in the city that each show is in - imagine JBL riding around the streets of Chicago in a van with a loud-speaker shouting out "Vote JBL!"
Also, if the fans had been the ones voting for it, it would have made them feel like they were in power, and their "SmackDown! Your Vote" thing would also have gotten more publicity. Of course, JBL would have ended up winning, so a controversial screw-job result reminiscent of Bush winning in 2000 would have been in order.
But they missed the boat on that one. There is no point doing it if there isn't a real election on, and they won't have the chance for another four years. They had the perfect superstar on the perfect year, but they ruined it.
That's why I should be on the creative team.

AFTERMATH OF HBK/HOGAN vs. MUSLIM MENACE
so obviously, Hogan and Micheals are a lock to win at Backlash. Im thinking that the next night on RAW they have a Hulkster/HBK "celebration" (read 15 minute pose down). but then suddenly, 10 minutes into the "celebration", out of nowhere - "OH MY GOD!!!SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!!GOD DAMN HIM!!!BAWGHAWD!!!THAT VILE KICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD OF HOGAN!!!GOD DAMN THAT SONOFABITCH!!!NO!!!NOT LIKE THIS!!!BAWGHAWD!!!
instant HBK heel turn.
WHY SHAWN WHY
Well, so that he can be the man to do what no one else has done - retire Hulk Hogan ONCE AND FOR ALL.
what ensues is "ONE MORE FUED" with HBK which results in HBK destroying Hogan, and Hogan retiring once and for all. and then we get to here the heeliest of heels, HBK, talk shit for a year about being the guy that retired Hulk Hogan.
^this is GOLD. wwe sucks if they do not do this.

That Hogan story line is pretty good, but it shouldn't be HBK to do it. He doesn't need to get over.

first off, thanks.
socond, it DOES make the most sense to have Micheals retire Hogan. i mean seriously, what would you have them do - have Mohamud Hassan retire Hulk Hogan? :-\
it cant ALL be about putting over new talent ALL the time.

Here's an idea for the draft. Lets say one brand gets lucky and steals a hand full of the other brands top stars. So the GM of the losing brand sends all of his tag teams to other brand in a trade for some of his lost main eventers.
Now we get the tag team division exclusive to one brand (which hopefully means they pay some attention to it) and the tag team division becomes like the Women's and crusierweight divison. Maybe the other show could bring in the hardcore title as a new belt to make up for the loss of the tag team belts.

Think about what it would add to someones career to be the one that officailly retired the Immortal Hulk Hogan. HBK really doesn't need that, he is over enough as he is. If Randy Orton was still on his Legend Killer trip, imagine how good it would look to have Hulk Hogan on that list.

Edge wins the World Title off Batista at Summerslam 2005 after using that stupid fucking briefcase as a weapon behind the referee's back.
The next night on RAW, Bischoff announces a rematch between the two. 'Tista is pissed that he got screwed and is ready to kill someone, namely, his opponent, Edge. Edge looks for help but is turned down by all (HHH, Snitsky, Masters). Looks like Edge is fucked is about to have a very Kane-like World Title reign.
Luckily, Captain Charisma, Edge's brother, comes to the rescue. He agrees to bail Edge out if he looks like he's going to lose. We see some classic Edge & Christian jokes and quotes ("Tonight's match is going to reek of awesomeness").
The main event: Batista vs. Edge for the World Title. Batista has Edge up for the Batista Bomb, but Christian knocks out the ref before nailing Batista with the World Title belt. He pulls Edge on top of Batista, revives the ref, 1-2-3.
Edge and Christian celebrate, Xian still holding the World Title in his hand. Edge tries to take the World Title from him, but Christian holds onto it with a strange smile on his face. Suddenly, Christian nails Edge in the face with the World Title! He climbs the turnbuckle and holds it up over his head as the show goes off the air.
Next week on RAW, Christian shows up with the World Title belt and cuts a promo, totally turning him into the top face in the WWE.
