Anyone know what Ian Richard Hodgkinson (aka Vampiro) is up to lately? I know he made a few appearances in TNA back in 2003...and last I heard (sometime in early 2004) he was working for MLW...but due to their confussing/never updated website and lack of tapes at my acess I don't know what's going on with them or if they are even still running shows. So I guess my question remains what has Vampiro been up to for the past year?

I believe MLW are now out of business, but I'm not sure about the status of Vampiro. :(

Didn't he get injured pretty badly and was out for a while?

MLW is indeed out of business.

Explains why their website isn't updated.

Yeah, MLW went out a long while ago now. Their owner, Court Bauer, was 'set' to get with Teddy Hart and open a promotion in the PA area called 'H20 Wrestling' - they did announce a date and various names, but cancelled the date, and come to find out the truth that they didn't even confirm 1/2 the people that they were advertising for it.

Bauer was an EXTREMELY bad businessman, and pissed through a great deal of money in only a handful of shows - which weren't any kind of good. They brought in a pile of talents, and then booked their shows totally ass backwards. Here's a company that at one of their shows, the next day advertised a 'fan fest' with names like Terry Funk, Dr. Death Steve Williams, Red, The SAT, Kojima, La Parka and others - and drew maybe a bit over 50 people to it. :nono:

ANYHOW, on to your Vampiro question. You can usually keep up with him through Bob Barnett's personal forum at his website: www.BobBarnett.com , as Bob is his booking agent I believe. Hope that that helps a bit :y:
