I was going to post a thread about this months ago, since I got season tickets (and planning to buy them next year).

Anyone watch laccrose? Like, professional NLL league? Well, the finals are next week so it's a bit late to start watching now, but if you've never seen this sport, it is intense.

It is my new favorite sport. You don't even have to be a sports fan to enjoy it. It's just a bunch of guys running around with stick beating eachother while rock music plays over the P.A.

The reason why I made this thread is to brag about how Arizona made the finals last night. It's the top 3 teams from each league who advance into the playoffs. Arizona beat Colorado last week, and upset Calgary this week. They play Toronto for the finals next week.

I'm amazed they've gotten so far with such a crap goalie. I guess he does well on the road, but the whole stadium just yells and screams when he lets in a goal. The only upside is that he's very clutch. He can shut it down in the 4th quarter.

Season tickets are cheap (for AZ). $80 for 8 games, 2 pre season games, and some other incentives. Consider going next year.

THE FINALS ARE NEXT WEEK. They're on NBC in the afternoon. I highly suggest everyone watch.

I'm not sure if this is the same league, but there was a new team in Minnesota this winter, I forget their name but they played in the Xcel. I think it was the Swarm or something?

Anyway, I wasn't home much so I didn't see any of it, but the concept and idea looked cool. It looked better then traditional outdoor lax because of the walls and everything being some compacted.

Is this the same league?

Yeah, the Swarm suck.

Get tickets though. Those games are unbelievbly fun.

I read that all the players have day jobs and then fly in the night before the games for practice?

RoXer

Yeah, a lot of them are teacher, firefighters, stuff like that. This is thier night job. And they do it because they love it.

I think a lot of sports should adapt this system.

I laughed at that statement for a second. Untill I remebered the 1st place Suns. And the first place Diamondbacks. The playoff bound Cardinals (you heard me). The ASU football team, and UofA basketball team.

So suck it.

I can remember the Bulls

Now THAT I laughed at, because they beat the Suns. (And a few other teams.)

There is nothing worse than music being played over the PA while the game is in action. It's like saying the action of the game isn't interesting enough so let's give you something else to do. That's one of the reasons why the NBA sucks.

RoXer

Maybe.

It's also a technique to get the crowd yelling louder since they can't hear over the PA.

I dunno, it's my kind of music so I'm cool with it.

I don't mind it, keeps the adrenaline pumping the whole way through instead of just at the end.

Fucking Sting sucking lost.

MIKE IS GARBAGE!! Can't wait untill he's traded.

Did anyone catch the game? It seemed like the Sting were about to come back, like always, but then Mike stopped absolutley nothing.

Lacrosse is an awesome sport! probably the only person on the forums that plays, but my whole family plays. My brother at PSU, my cousin at Gettysburg, and my other cousin at Mercyhurst. I have been playing since 3rd grade and start as a freshman at my highschool. I used to always go to the indoor Wings games, and love them! But I have really gotten into the outdoor league last year. More realistic and more like the normal game. Indoor is a bunch of Canadians.

Kinda cool seeing people talk about lacrosse on the forums!

Not really an outdoor fan personally.

Yeah, I think if you don't play outdoor then its too slow. The indoor game appeals to me, but I try to support both leagues because I'd love to see it catch on even more. The MLL seemed to do a good job by starting it regionally in the hot bed that is new england though
