Haven't played it yet, 'cause I don't want to spoil the movie, but LEGO Star Wars is a surprisingly fun game. The interchangeability in Free Play is interesting.
Yes.

I played a demo of it at the local EB. Lots of fun for a hack'n'slash. Reminds me of EA's LotR games, but with Force powers.

Is that really good? Because I have SERIOUSLY considered getting the Lego and the regular versions of the Episode Three game.

It is fun and has plenty of character.
Not much challenge, you get infinate lives, but different characters can do different things, and once you've done a level you can replay it with any character (also handy for picking up any collectables you've missed).
On the character point, was wondering about around the level select area (Dexter's Diner), and characters you've unlocked randomly wonder about. However sometimes, well most times, 2 characters who don't like each other meet, they have a little scrap.
There's plenty to unlock, so if you like to unlock things then you'll enjoy this even more.
There's been one annoying bit for me so far (the pod race stage), apparently the stages where you're in vehicles aren't that good, I've got another one coming up soon though, so I'll let you know how that goes (if I remember).
That was my little mini review.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to pick them both up as soon as I can. They sound sweet.
Right now, other than Outbreak and Animal Crossing, I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic 2. I never get tired of the KotOR games.

Sick fucking game. This is what Jedi Power Battle should have been on the psx.

Bit annoying that there's no Gamecube version.

It's pretty short but the duel mode with friends keeps this game alive.

ALSO, if you crank up the difficulty to the hardest level and duel against Mace Windu, you're 99% sure going to lose.

Mace Windu = Ratings.
Whenever I play Knights of the Old Republic, I have at least one purple saber because of him. :P

To the people who play LEGO Star Wars:
I've completely finished Eps. I and II (got every Minikit, every Superkit Piece, every character), and my rental copy is due back in a couple of days.
I've tried my damnedest to not read any spoilers for Ep. III (although I know some of what has to happen, strictly from a storyline standpoint), so I'm torn as to whether to finish the game now or wait two weeks until after I've seen the movie before renting it again.
So, the question is, how much of the Ep. III story is spoiled by the game? I know that in the first two Episodes, the cut scenes aren't much like what happens in the movie. But they do show Qui-Gon getting impaled and Darth Maul getting cut in half and Anakin getting his hand cut off. So, am I going to find out anything I don't want to know by finishing the game?

Apparently there's nothing in there that hasn't already been leaked on to the internet.
The response I got when I asked my friend how spoilerific it is as I'm currently in the same situation.

Yeah, but I'm intentionally avoiding Internet spoilers for that reason.

Likewise, I'm gonna occupy my time going back and doing the levels in free play to unlock all the mini kits.

Maybe I'll just play around and buy up all the rest of the Extras.

Eh... tough call. I would venture to say that you won't spoil much because what you think is probably going to happen, is what happens. If that makes any sense?
Basically I had an idea of what was going to happen, I asked my friend, who had played Episode III, how close I was to nailing the story. His reply was, "You were dead on".
However, since I'm a SW geek, even though I know what happens, I still want to see it on the big screen first. They should of released the game on the same day as the movie.

Lego Star wars: No challenge whatsoever, but it's worth renting for the comical cut scenes. None of the characters speak. It's all pantamimes. It's quite funny.
Episode III: The biggest appeal for this game is duel mode. Me and my friends spent hours playing it last night. They could probably base a whole game just on that.

I've played a bit of the solo game and got a LOTR sense coming to me. LOTR:ROTK is the more polished of the two, but I see how heavily influenced SW:E3 was by it. My favorite mode is the versus mode. I played this guy and after we got the controls down it really started to look like a Jedi duel. They should build off that as a stand alone game next time.

Episode 3 spoilers have indeed severly leaked onto the net, the actual script for the movie is on it, why friend read it and some cool stuff will have but didn't spoile it for me because I would have beat him up so bad and I know what will happen anyway because I saw the last 3 so many times

Nothing was severly leaked. The book has been out for almost three months now.
