I mean think about it, they are both work horse, under rated by WWE, and usually just used as pawns in other people story lines, but still hugely over. BTW, Chavo > Eddie.

I hate Chavo, always have. I've never really noticed that he was/is "hugely over", he just annoys me

Are you guys kidding? Chavo is the fucking man. I remember back when SmackDown had their Super Six (Eddie, Chavo, Benoit, Angle, Rey, and Edge) back when the brand spilt first happened, and fucking A Chavo would tear it down then and still does now. Now I LOVE Eddie, and I think over the span of his career his body of work far out shines Chavo, but as far as entertainment over the last few years, I'm sorry Chavo has been in top 5 in my book for a while.

YEA, I love Chavo and think I've said before that he's better then Eddie to me. Best Cruiserweight champion they've ever had and he's got his character down pat.

I've never really liked Chavo that much, though i have always respected his talent. I reckon he is one of the best cruiserweights without a doubt, and his theme music is cool to. But Eddie is still my favourite out of the two.

As for Chavo being Smackdowns Christian? Not quite. I find Chavo annoying sometimes, and Chavo is used alot more than Christian.

Christian >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chavo

Chavo is good, but he is not great. I enjoy him and all, but I enjoy Kurt Angle a lot more. Their is no one I enjoy more than Christian on Raw.

Chavo is Definatley one of the best cruiserwieght champions...ever. I'm not sure how I would compare him to Christian though as Christian is gold right now...GOLD

But still, if Chavo (or Christian for that matter) was like 3 inches taller, and still worked his ass off the way he does, he would be a multi-time champion by now.

*BTW, this proves that I don't always bitch about Randy Orton, some times I sing the praises of Chavo and Christian.

If he married the bosses daughter, he would be multi-time champion by now to. :shifty:

Actually I think Carlito is more of Smackdown's version Christian if anyone is. They're both entertaining on the mic, they do what's necessary to win, and at one point the each had a "problem solver". Christian has/had Tyson Tomko and Carlito had Jesus.

Chavo is underrated, but he's no Christian. He's mad skilled, doesn't get enough attention, but he's not on the same level as Christian, either in terms of "it" (The X factor Christian has that gets him so over) or misuse.

With all the cutbacks of late, Hogan IS 90% of the locker.

Chavo is the man. But Christian is the best thing in the WWE right now IMO. And like KK said, Christian just has that X-Factor.

Chavo Guerrero is about as good as you can get, without being great. I mean he is great, but he's just not seen in that ring of excellence like Christian, Eddie, Benoit, Jericho, Angle, etc. One day he will be, but not rigt now.

Chavo is severely underrated, and I don't think anyone on the planet can deny he put on a good show with Rey Mysterio on SD!. Chavo does so many awesome little things that no one probably notices, but after he had that great match on SD!. I think his greatness will become even more apparent.

Some of the best story-telling I have ever seen in the WWE was done by Chavo this last week on SD!. His match is self-explanitory, but his promos were right up there too. When Chavo and Rey had their confrontation in Teddy Long's office, you could just feel everything Chavo was saying was meant. Even when it was Los Guerreros vs. Rey Mysterio & Edge, Eddie was still closer to Mysterio than he ever was to Chavo. You could just tell Chavo blames Rey Mysterio for the problems between him and Eddie, and although it didn't really show on the outside, you could tell a love for his uncle was on the inside, and by getting rid of Mysterio, the rifts between Eddie and Chavo could heal.

His promo with Eddie was great as well. You could tell Chavo was trying to get Eddie pissed off, and that he was trying to direct it towards Rey Mysterio, but what Chavo said about Eddie being a man, you could tell he wanted the bridge between Eddie and himself to close.

With Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Christian, Kurt Angle, JBL and Carlito Caribbean Cool as heels on SmackDown! after Judgment Day, I think this may not be the end of SmackDown!'s greatness.

I would have a tough time placing anyone over Eddie after watching SD on Thurs.

Chavo is great, so is Christian.

Its hard to put Christian in the same league as Eddie because he's never really been asked to carry a major program. The only one where he played a major role was with Jericho, but I thought that was more of a comedy thing.

I've just seen smackdown and have to say, it''s reminded me why Eddie is so great.I would put Eddie above Christian right now.

Chavo is a very underrated talent, and if they actually used him properly then he could probably be a star. Christian is way above him though, and it seems like he just does everything right. Well, except give Hunter a proper oral massage, since he never gets to win the title :(

Oh yeah, also, i forgot to mention this earlier, but I was understanding that aside from Cena, JBL, Taker, and Angle, EVERYONE is the Christian of Smackdown...

I was under the impression that chavo was gonna b an upper midcarder after his feud with eddie last year.

I was really dissapointed when he just fell away.

Chavo is great, but isn't always great on the "mic"

remember No way Out 2004?

Chavo: "That's eddies locker room, he's a looooooooser. He's an addict, and a looooser."

that was pathetic, but everything else is good about him.
2nd best technical cruiserweight (behind Jamie Noble - when jamie was in the wwe)

I'm not a big fan of Chavo. Chavo, Rey Mysterio Jr, and their ilk seem to always hold rookies and newcomers like Big Vis down. If it weren't for Chavo, Viscera would be champion today!

Chavo is by far one of my favorites. The Chavo/Mysterio main event on Smackdown is the first Smackdown main event I've actually tuned into in about a year.

First, Viscera is not a newcomer. He's been around longer than a good percentage of the roster.

Second, you're an idiot.

Is Chavo the Christian of Smackdown? Is East St. Louis the Beverly Hills of Illinois?

in a word.....NO.

also, i dont think that Chavo is "hugely over". there is a simple formula that explains why. that formula is this-he could make a face or heel turn next week, and few would notice or care.

Except Carlito isn't really a workhorse. Not to say he can't be later on in his career, but he hasn't been around long enough to stanc a chance. In fact, he's gotten a LOT from the WWE in his limited time there.

Chavo has come a long way since the early WCW days. He's definitely entertaining to watch, especially as a heel. But no... no where near the level of Christian yet.
