Who would've taken the spots saved for:
1) Hogan. Scott Hall. Vince 'found' Hogan when he was raiding the AWA. If there's no Hogan, then Big Scott hall is there by 82. He's big, he's got a ton of charisma, and he's got that Magnum PI thing going for him.
2) Taker. Kane. The WWF basically took a generic big man and hooked him up with a great gimmick.
3) HBK. Brian Pillman. All the talent and twice the personalty.
4) Bret. Dynamite Kid. Actualy, if the Buldogs hadn't gotten into a contract dispute with the WWF, Dynamite becomes a huge star if Bret is there or not.
5) Austin. It' hard to see anyone else feuding with Bret then Vince and becoming that kind of character....but he was also a rip-off of Sandmanin ECW and basically got picke dup off the scrap heap when WWF signed him...dunno..
6) Rock. Jericho. The mic skills are there.
7) HHH. If he's not there, I think Billy Gunn gets the big singles push post-DX
8) Jim Ross. As an announcer? Wel, if JR doesn't get ihs initial run in the WCW, I guess ...um, Larry Zbysko? Mongo Mcmichael? Lord...Raw with Mongo would be painful.
Also, from this list, the WCW never ever loses a Monday Night Ratings war with the WWF, Vince goes out of business shortly after WM 14 and we're allwatching Nitro tomorrow.

This is impossible to even think about since wrestling probably would not have ever grown to this point without those key wrestlers. Without many of those wrestlers, many others that would "replace" them never would have been around or in the spotlight anyways.

In each situation, only one of them is dead. So it is possible to think about it.

1) Hogan: TA Magnum. Crap, was that even his name? Something like that. Feuded with the Horsemen, got in a car accident, ended his career. If not for that, plenty of signs to say he would've had Hogan's push.
2) Taker: Any other hoss around at the time. I'm sure there were plenty.
3) HBK: Marty Jannetty, or maybe Scott Hall.
4) Bret: Owen, or anyone else trained in the dungeon.
5) Austin: Sandman, or Brian Pillman.
6) Rock: Tougher. D'Lo, maybe? Was a funny guy when he got the chance.
7) HHH: HHH can not die. He is alpha and omega. And also shit. And, as we all know, shit does, in fact, happen.
8) Jim Ross: Paul Heyman, probably to the exclusion of ECW ever doing anything significant.
