For those who care. This show was supposed to be RoH's big break into the NY market and is a prelude to their potential(former ECW) market in Buffalo.

The show opened with the usual countdown theme, then cut into AC/DC's "Back in Black" as a tribute to Chris Candido, followed by a 10 bell salute.

The show was started by Carnage Crew taking Dunn and Marcos out of the first match (after hiding under the ring), and piledriving Marcos off the apron through a table, then heeling out on the Ring of Honor fans for "not caring about them being out for 90 days".

Thus the opening match, with the "losing team must break up" stip became a regaular tag team match, with Lacey's Angels (Izzy and Deranged) defeating Dixie and Azrieal .

Nigel McGuinness defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall

James Gibson defeated Black Tiger IV (Rocky Romero) via front choke submission

BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs retained their ROH Tag Team Titles over Generation Next (Roderick Strong and Jack Evans). Sick spots included Strong suplexing Jack Evans and his elastic spine into a 450 on Jacobs, and Strong setting Jacobs in the corner to have Evans hit an assisted backflip kick.

Samoa Joe pinned Jay Lethal in an excellent match to win the ROH Pure championship. Post-match, The Rottweilers did a run-in with Monsta Mack apparently (re)joining The Rottweilers and jumping Joe from behind; taking out both Lethal and Joe, along with Low-Ki going berserk on the mike to setting up an impromptu main event for later on...

Fast Eddie Vegas pinned Davey Andrews

Jimmy Rave pinned CM Punk (who came out wearing a Chris Candido t-shirt) in a Dog Collar Match. Rave won after a 5 on 1 cluster@$#k where Punk was jumped and bled like a stuck...er high on the Ricky Morton scale. Colt Cabana, James Gibson, Azrieal, and Dixie made the save for Punk.

ROH champion Austin Aries pinned Alex Shelley. Aries REALLY came off like a champion in this match. While he's been great in the ring, a lot of the ROH regulars never seemed to buy into him as much as they had Samoa Joe. The WB 11 attention certainly didn't hurt.

In the impromptu main event, Homicide and Low Ki defeated new ROH Pure Champion Samoa Joe and protege Jay Lethal, with an incredibly sick finisher that had Homicide hit the Cop Killer after Low Ki hit his top rope double stomp into Lethal to increase the force of the move, then pinned Lethal. Ring of Honor is selling this combo on their website as the new most dangerous move, claiming they'll consider "banning the move".

Notes: Gary Michael Capetta announced that Matt Hardy will debut for Ring of Honor on July 16 in New Haven, CT in what appears to be Hardy's first announced WRESTLING appearance, after his WWE non-compete runs out.

Holy shit! That Double Stomp/Cop Killer really sounds awesome.

Sounds like a great show that should have strengthened ROH in the Buffalo area. More power to them. :y:
