Arrested Development, probably one of the most underrated shows on TV right now, has just gotten picked up for a third season. I am not a big fan of sitcoms, but this one is the goods.

Watch it. If you haven't seen it before, start from the beginning. They do a pretty good job with the narration, but if you've seen the show from the start, you will catch every little joke they put in.

If you have seen it, who is your favorite character. I have a feeling (at least from previous board posts), that David Cross will win out.

I've only seen the first series because I live in England where the show was pushed to late night slot (Seinfeld was also pushed to early hours of the morning when shown on terrestrial Tv) and the second series hasn't even been shown yet, plus BitTorrent isn't nice to me.

But yeah, its one of my favourite shows on TV. Its fast paced and rarely fails to hit the spot. And David Cross is legendary.

But my favourite character? Gob, by FAR. The guy that plays him has done a brilliant job with the character and everything about him makes me laugh, his voice, his body language, his comments, his magic shows...the fact that he has "Final Countdown" as his magic show theme.

This is great news, love the show.

As far as my fav character its hard, Gob and Tobias are pretty hilarious. The mom can be pretty lights out also.

Gonna go with Gob though, he just has the it factor.

That's great news, I love that show. I like the character Tobias the most, followed by Gob, and George Michael and Portia, well, because she is hot. I loved the magic show episodes and when Tobias joined the Blue Man Group. Seeing David Cross in camo with the scenery had to be one of the funniest scenes.

This is excellent news. I have yet to miss an episode of this show. It is one of my favorite shows, it simply never fails. Everyone should watch it, I am so glad it got renewed. I think a lot of us were a little worried it wouldn't be. Hopefully this season the ratings will be bigger. I know FOX really likes the show but it's not getting the ratings it should yet.

I didn't watch it at first. The camera technique annoyed me. Still does I suppose.

But I've seen a few episodes and it was actually good.

Reminds me of Soap. Kinda.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW AND I AM SO EXCITED THEY RENEWED IT. WOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, FOX will start to notice that even though it's a great show, it can't compete with EM: House Edition and whatevers on CBS.

Any news on the second season DVD?

I imagine they will wait to release it around the time of the start of the third season to peak interest, and the past two seasons have started on the first week in November. So we'll see.

Arrested Development has been given the 8 PM time slot on Monday for HALF of the season (until 24 comes back), and as of right now, House will take that time slot later on.

So there is no plan as to when the show might play later on. But I'm sure they'll sort it out.

i've been meaning to catch the show, but i've always been confused with when it's actually on. anything with david cross must be genuisely funny.

They constantly have been changing its time slot, so that doesn't surprise me at all.

Some time soon they'll start playing reruns methinks.

OK I finally watched all of season 1 on DVD in two days and wow. It really is as good as everyone says it is. So angry at myself for waiting this long to get into it. Season 2 and 3 are coming to me from Netflix.

You're a good guy, mon frère. That means "brother" in French. I don't know why I know that! I took four years of Spanish.

There were so many lines that made me ROFL that I can't even remember right now.

The Pier Pressure episode was amazing.

They're just strippers. LOOK HOW HOT THEY ARE.

Well, if you want to play Eve, you got to get in line behind what, about five homos. That was wrong. I-I am so sorry. It’s just that I have one down at the office now, and I mean it is every day.

Lucille: And I seem to remember a certain grown man who completely fell apart two weeks ago when I taped over the Nova special that had the girl on it he liked.

Michael: That was Buster. That’s my point.

Tobias Fünke: Are you calling me a coward?
Warden Stefan Gentles: There's only one man I've ever called a coward, and that's Brian Doyle Murray...

George Michael Bluth: You know, I have a job.
Tobias Fünke: [coughing] Kiss ass... well we were all thinking it.
Buster: Uh, I'm unclear about what it is exactly you do...
Publicist: Excellent question, what a publicist does is...
Buster: No, no, no I was talking to George Michael. When did you get a job?
George Michael Bluth: At the banana stand.
Buster: Oh! Duh! I thought you meant like a plumber or something and I was like 'when did that happen?'

Speaking of Buster, a friend of mine met Tony Hale at church on Christmas. Tony's parents go to the church, and he was visiting I guess. My friend said she got so starstruck all she could muster up was "I love your show", without saying what show it was.

I am envious :(

Gob: Time to seal the deal.

Wife of Gob: Oh, wait, what time is it? Oh, God, seal the deal. My seal deal. I got to get to Sea Land. I’m selling five of their sickest seals to a third world zoo.

Gob: Did you say seals?

Wife of Gob: Yes, I told you, like, four hours ago, I sell seals! God, you ever listen to what I say?

Gob: I’m sorry I don’t memorize every single word that comes out of your mouth—sometimes I just like to think. Think my thoughts.

I love how AD always casted extras in a really funny way. Like GOB's "wife" being his wife in real life, Scott Baio replacing Henry Winkler in the third season, and one of the final episodes where they used Justine Bateman as "the lost Bluth". Just stuff like that.
