Post your most memorable moments here, and comment on how great wrestling was back then (when compared to now)
For me:
-RAW and the debut of Smackdown (more frequency)
-The Rock was in his peak
-The anticipation for Austin vs. The Rock
-Triple H was actually enjoyable to watch (although at the time, I couldn't stand Steph and Shane  )
-I was strictly a MARK back then, which always makes things more enjoyable :y:
-24/7 Hardcore Championshp matches = Crash Holly =

The matches that were most memorable to me were -
HHH vs. Cactus Jack - Street Fight, Royal Rumble
HHH vs. Cactus Jack - HIAC, No Way Out (Mick Foley "Retired")
Hardyz vs. Dudleyz vs. Edge and Christian - Triangle Ladder (Wrestlemania) and TLC I.
Angle vs. HHH vs. Rock vs. Austin vs. Undertaker vs. Rikishi, 6-Man HIAC.
There are probably a load more but i'm doing this by memory.

Other than matches, I found these things memorable -
Kurt Angle/HHH fued.
Austin getting "run over" by Rikishi.
Stephanie whining a lot.
The 24/7 rule for the Hardcore title was awesome.
Head Cheese - For humour.
HHH/Rock fued - It lasted most of the year.
Shane 'O' Mac's fall at Summerslam.
Stephanie whining a lot.

Debut of Tazz at the Royal Rumble choking out Angle and ending his winning streeak.
Return of the Undertaker to destroy the whole McMahon-Helmsley faction single-handedly.
Crash Holly being the houdini of hardcore.
Catcus Jack and HHH at the rumble and no way out.
Ladder tag team match at WM.
Jericho and Benoit three falls match at Summerslam.
Rock HHH fued.
yeah WWE was awesome back then.

- The whole of Royal Rumble 2000.
- TLC Matches
- "King Kurt Angle"
- Rock/HHH/Angle/Steph feud.
- Too Cool
- Hardys/Dudleys/E&C feuds. All 3 teams at their best.
- Rock in his prime.
- Right to Censor.
- Hardcore Title.
- Jericho/Benoit feud.
- Trish Stratus debut.
- Radicals debut.
- Tazz debut.
- Return of Undertaker as American Bad Ass.
- Rikishi revealed as the man who ran over Austin.
- Rikishi and Austin's feud which takes us into...
- Armageddon 6 Man Hell in a Cell.
Then we go into 2001, which was nowhere near the year 2000 was IMO.
Maybe somebody could start a series of threads, of best matches of each year. I'd do it, but I only really started watching around 1999. And it would be better to start in like 1985. And have one year for a week. Any takers?

-TLC
-Foley as Commish
-Undertaker's return at Judgment Day
-Debut of the 5 second pose
-Jericho v Benoit

I thought wrestling was for flaming nuggets like Danny Electric in 2000. And now, here I am, on a message board.

Strangely, i can remember the card from wrestlemania X and how I felt about each and every match, but can't remember the name of my girlfriend.

because i recently found a load of the PPVs to download and watched a few again and was instantly reminded of how much better it was then than it is now.

Funny, cos that's what DE thought around that time!
He will deny it! Don't listen to him! He is a NUGGET! Just ask NF!
Anyway...2000 was great!
Rumble was great
SummerSlam was better!
Judgement Day Iron Man Match was fantastic, as was UnderTaker's return at the end of the PPV
Unforgiven was great just for debut of Raven!
Angle-E&C stuff was pure
Radicalz debut at beginning of year!
It was still WWE!
And of course there were still alternatives to WWF!

2000 was actually the last year that I saw every ppv that year. I used to go to a friends house to watch the ppv. Then they lost interest after WM X-7.

Kinda same thing here!
Had all of 2000 on video (taped from TV) now barely get to watch PPV!
OOH! Another reason why 2000 kicked ass...
Channel 4 had Heat and 4 PPVs a year (including Rumble) meaning I got to actually watch wrestling LIVE! (I don't have sky/cable at home)
