Really never miss watching PPV's no matter what the card looks like, but after looking at this one, I just realise how weak SmackDown is, particularly in that weare seeing the same thing all the time.

The point of this thread is for you people to be positive and tell me why I should watch it and try and persuade me.

That being said, if you really can't, tell me why I shouldn't bother and reasons for that, bear in mind I am from the UK so it involves staying up until 4 in the morning if I want to see John Cena (who I really can't stand)

Well, in the UK it's on Sky Box Office anyway. And I ain't paying £15 for a show which I could probably get the DVD for cheaper.

If you're gonna stay up. Wait till tomorrow and stay up for RAW, its free and it'll be better

Well I'll be ordering. Basically because I hardly ever miss a PPV, and I think this PPV can spring a surprise. I think the card is very underrated.

Rey/Eddie will be a show stealer

Cena/JBL will be a nice brawl.

Carlito/Show will be a fun match. Funny how Carlito is more over then more then half the Smackdown Roster, but hasn't wrestled a match in months. See what being good on the mic does, you hosses?

MNM vs Holly/Haas will be a nice match. Watching Melina is always nice.

And Chavo/London should start the show and should be great.

Booker/Angle should be trememndous.

And everyone else sucks.

So to me, it looks like a good PPV on paper.

Positively speaking, the rematch between Eddie and Rey will be gold. I imagine both are going to really try and top their last match and with Eddie's recent turn, its stronger stroywise and psychology wise too.

Negatively speaking, the rest of the card sucks. Cena doesnt convince me and his match with JBL is just an old rehash. Angle is not going to be fully utilised by the aging veteran that is Booker T and I cant evn remember what the other matches are (which says a hell of a lot)

Like eddie guerrero versus JBL, Rey Mysterio vs big show or something. I think it was probably the worst ppv card ever

Oh dear god. That sounds terrible. We should really learn from our mistakes and not watch Smackdown, again, EVER!

Wasn't that the match where Big Show tossed Rey into the ringpost while he was on a stretcher? INSANE SPOT AHOY!

I actually think the JD card looks good.

Doesn't mean I'll be ordering it (as I'm poor), but the Rey/Eddie and Angle/Booker feuds have been entertaining, and all four guys can work really good matches. As long as Haas spends most of the match in the ring, the Tag Title match should be good, too. The Show/Carlito/Morgan dynamic should be interesting. And any PPV with a Paul London match can't be all bad.

Was thinking definately no, but you hae put a different light on it. Still, Booker is stale in my opinion and its obvious Angle will go over, obviously Cena will go over (and as mentioned above, can't stand him), but would be nice to see a heel Eddie given a push, but think Rey will go over again.

Other than that, seeing Carlito hopefully pick up a decent win might be worth it.

Save your money, put it on the Reds to win on wednesday.

I'm from the UK aswell and I'm not ordering it, ever since they increased the amount of PPV's we had to buy on Box office i havent brought one. And so far i havent regretted it, except wrestlemania, but i may get that on dvd anyway. I don't really mind missing the rey/eddie match, i know Eddie will win it, and ive seen enough classic stuff between them already anyway. As for Cena/JBL, again not really bothered, i don't give a damn about Cena these days, well not as much as i used to...and i'm not to keen on the I quit match idea. The rest of the card beyond that doesn't look too impressive either.

I don't mind the fee. I'd happily pay £15 for a WWE event, but if its going to be as predictable as we all know, and with matches that just don't appeal then i'd rather get a crate of stella in.

Plus, staying up to 4 in the morning on a sunday before work isn't pretty

They show repeats for a whole week anyway, but my reasoning for not buying the ppv's is, i knew they would increase the amount of ppv's on box office eventually so this is my way of saying 'your not going to get anymore money out of me, until you reduce the number of ppv's on box office'. it is kind of a small protest, but a serious one..i hope others out there are doing the same also, and giving how shit the WWE has been, i imagine they're.

Ofcourse if the PPV's are like they were back in the day...then i would think twice about it, but as of now i aint letting Sky get anymore of my money.

I think it's something to do with WWE demanding a lot of money from Sky if they wanted to continue having the rights to their programming. And the only way Sky could pay WWE was by putting more PPV's actually on PPV. I dunno, I think I read something like that before.

Hmmm, interesting, either way, the protest still works, only now it's towards the WWE.

Actually now i remember this, this was one of the ppv's i ordered, either thta or it was on sky last year..but i certainly don't remember ordering it. This card was absolutely shit though, besides that steel chair shot from JBL to Eddie, the ppv sucked.

S2H V Mordecai was dumb and should've been on smackdown, Chavo faced Jackqueline for the curiserweight title after Chavo challenged anyone, and the best they could find was a woman? That buried the title for good, and the cruiserweights on top of it. Cena was obviously going to beat Rene AGAIN....and Booker was never going to beat Taker, and wasn't the Torrie V Dawn Marie match the one where we saw Dawn's ass?

It's kinda hard to believe this was a year ago.

I will laugh at you guys who order it if it's a shit PPV, seriously there is only two matches better than the one on last years card.Eddie v Rey is one, and for fun because i'm bored, guess what i think is the other....

The CyNick

CW title, Eddie-Rey and BT-Angle should all be above 3 stars, and thats being conservative.

Cena-JBL could be really solid depending on how the crowd is and how they lay out the match.

Meltzer said that at the house show he went to Haas/Holly vs MNM was really good.

Show-Carlito should be short and fun, if nothing else.

Heidenreich will need a miracle to make his match good, but hey its only one match.

So, yeah I'd say it looks like a strong card on paper, of course there's no guarantee that makes for a good show.

The only major downside I can see for this show is that I dont think any of the title will change hands (except for the US title, which I think will change, but that title means nothing now so it doesn't really matter), so its kind of a lame duck show. The only outcome that is really interesting is Eddie-Rey, rest of them seem pretty obvious to me.

Reasons to order it:
1) You have nothing better to do with your life
2) It's not like you need to save the money for a girl
3) Staying inside > Being proactive in life

Reasons NOT to order it:
1) Everything else.

I'm just ribbin ya man, I don't know if you should order it...are there any matches that you WANT to see? I mean I want to know how the I Quit Match ends, but I can just read that and probably download the entire match in a week for free. As for Rey/Eddie, I guess I don't have very high hopes for it (Eddie has been on a ball with promos but in the ring he isn't the same old Eddie). Anyway order if you want, and don't relie on other people to tell you what to spend your money on.

Cynick, Eddie v Rey is not for the cw title.

Btw the other good match i think is gonna be Angle V Booker T, based on what i've seen in their feud so far.

CyNick never said Eddie/Rey was for the title...he was listing 3 different matches, the CW Title Match, Eddie/Rey, and the Booker/Angle match...

Oh, he put CW title next to Eddie V Rey..i assume he meant the US title.

Ordered it, will probably regret it, but the card looks decent enough like you all say. Only problem is, I feel like I am seeing the same thing over and over again.

However, wana see Eddie vs Rey, Carlito in the ring and hopefully Chavo and London get some time. Other than that I am hoping for a surprise with the others
