View Full Version : What the CRAP are they doing?!

O.K., for the past year or so, they would build up Stevie with a storyline (good or bad) and then just kill it at the time it actually began. Stevie hooks up with Victoria, Victoria starts winning matches, they break up. Stevie goes over Test and Steiner, Test gets hurt, kill the story. For whatever retarded reason, Stevie becomes mystery woman, improvised altercation with Tomko, kill the story. Now, at the point for a decent entry into a decent storyline, they appear to be entirely snubbing it form the get-go.

WHY, oh WHY did Masters beat Richards? AS anyone can see, after Richards was hurt, they put Masters in the infinitely boring and wasteful "Masterlock Invitational" for the whole three months it took for Stevie to heal up. So then Stevie comes back for revenge, and for some reason that surpasses my understanding, he is defeated. But not only is he defeated, he gets "knocked out" by the Full Nelson, seemingly without even harming the Masterpiece.

My first question when watching this horrible scene was "Why does it take your arm to drop three times in a headlock before you're out, but it only takes one drop from a full nelson? What's the difference? My second question was...what the FUCK?!

I understand I'm arguably the biggest Stevie mark here, and I also understand the he's not a hugely popular guy in the first place. But at least he can put on a SHOW. Masters has hardly entertained anyone; he's not booed b/c he's a heel, he's booed b/c HE'S A WASTE OF FIFTEEN MINUTES EVERY WEEK.

They'd better keep this fued going. ANd Stevie better beat the bastard. Otherwise...well...I'll write a very nasty letter!

I was slightly hoping for some sort of ECW run in...like with Raven or Blue Meanie, or hell, they could have used Nova and gotten rid of that silly Simon Dean crap.

Yeah, I totally loved the "Stevie" chant that went up in the arena last night. Shows you that a guy who has been reduced to Sunday Night Heat for the better part of his WWE career, and fresh off of being unable to work for 3 months can still get face pops.

All I heard during that match were crickets.

Sure they may boo him for a different reason than originally intended, but the fact of the matter is that they are still booing him. And they are booing him HARD. Sure this kid's career seems to be strangely on par with X-Pac's, but think about how long THAT bastard stuck around.

All Chris Masters has to do now is make a porn video with Nicole Bass and he'll be golden.

Stevie is terrible. There's no way in hell he'll ever be credible again. feeding him to Master was another attempt to get the kid over.

Put it this way: there's still a chance that Masters can get over as a heel and be a vital member of the WWE roster. Stevie has no chance. Who would you squash?

You never know. Stevie could be one of those guys that hasn't found his niche just yet. I mean look at Cena, he started off slapping Jericho, then was given the rapper gimmick which never worked before, and bam he is huge. Or look at JBL, he was a go nowhere brawler, they change his gimmick bam, one of Smackdowns saving graces. Look at the Rock, he was just some goofy baby face, then he started making fun of everyone, and now he is making movies.

So don't count Stevie out just yet.

This is a main reason Chris Masters can be aptly called the "Masterbore".

No offense, but that may be one of the worst plays on words ever made.

Even "The Masterpiece of Shit" would have been better.

When we first saw him live at a Raw dark match, my brother-in-law and I both simultaneously called him the "Master of Masturbation". :o

It's not an "erotica" fed, even if it HAS had Master of Masturbation Matches, Wrestle Naked; Loser Fucks President Matches, Loser Fucks Solena Matches, or Triple Threat Butt Plug on a Pole Matches, not to mention the infamous Flaming Homosexual Matches or the Kiss My Nipples Matches.

I have been borderline obsessed with Richards for quite some time now. And as I watched RAW last week, I was very disappointed in how that played out. This better not be the end of it. Richards > Masterpiece.

BRING BACK THE RTC

Is it 2000 already?

The Masterpiece rules. The WWE needs to be pushing younger wrestlers who haven't been given the ball yet instead of old never-was's/ECW has-been's like Stevie.

You guys seem to be stuck in the past. I guess this explains why so many of you defend WCW. You are all marks for older wrestlers who can't wrestle anymore and already had their time in the spotlight.

This is the year 2005, people. No more DX, no more Austin 3:16, no more Rock, no more RTC. They are gone forever and will only exist in old tapes and DVD's. Sure they can come back every now and then but they will NOT be the same as they once were.

And even though I hate Cena's rap CD and his whole gimmick, it's fellas like his, the guy in my avatar's, and the Masterpiece's time to shine.

Old guys should only come around every now and then to put over the rookies. And that is what Steve did, and he did the right thing. He is okay in my book for that. :y:

Shit, Hulk Hogan and HBK go over on two guys with cheesy gimmicks and you guys bitch like women.

But Stevie puts over a guy with a good gimmick and talent, and you bitch for that.

Once again, this explains why I hate many people on this board.

You don't know what you want. You're like a bunch of women. Seriously.

One minute, you are all for putting over younger wrestlers, but then the enxt minute, you are not.

And one day you are in the mood for debating and no agreeing, then the enxt you want nothing but agreeing and no debating.

Well, if you want old guys, go watch old-school wrestling tapes and play Legends of Wrestling.

Out of curiosity, though...

Who even talks about WCW enough anymore to 'defend' it? And when they do, they defend it in terms of what? I must've missed every last one of those posts.

A few weeks ago, I compared this place to WCW since no one knows what is going on and what they want most of the time and various posters considered my comments a compliment.

And on the Raw thread a couple of days ago, there were people complaining about how McMahon said he killed WCW.

In 1996 when Steve Austin's career actually started making a mark, and changed the industry once again he was 32...

Stevie Richards is now 34...

Your right. He is FAR too old to make a difference now.

Stevie has been given the ball more then enough times though. Austin got fucked over in WCW, got some respect in ECW and was even getting fucked by the WWE at first. But he finally took the ball and ran with it.

Stevie never did.

What ball was Stevie given? RTC? He became one of the biggest heels in the company at the time (as far as fan reaction goes). In ECW he was given the gimmick of mocking people, his entire gimmick was to copy other people's gimmick, and guess what, he got OVER! As a part of Raven's Flock he was over and he was the jobber of the group. He was supposed to be Victoria's bitch, and he still got over. He got more of a crowd reaction then Masters last night. I am not saying he is the next Steve Austin, lord knows he isn't, but the fact is Richards has made the most of everything given to him. Accept it, you're wrong.

If he was so over, how come he didn't headline PPV's? And how come he was never given a title? And how come there weren't flocks of people wanting to buy Stevie Richards shirts, action figures, and DVD's of his greatest matches? Oh wait, because he never got those things because he was never over.

The bWo and RTC weren't pimples on the asses of the nWo and the DX. All of Richard's angles were flavors of the month.

If you're saying he wasn't given a ball to run with, then what the hell point are you making? He did headline in ECW ppv's -- hell, he was in the main event of the first one! And from what I recall, he has held the hardcore title of WWE. Maybe I"m misreading you, but it seems that you are now the one who's contradicting himself.

I think that Christian's jar of Ass Cream won the hardcore title eleven or twelve times. The hardcore title is hardly an accolade. I bet wrestlers would have been happier to receive an actual belt that holds up your pants than the hardcore title.
