Somebody's Gotta Die

Considering the success of Judgment Day, more precisely Cena-JBL and Rey-Eddie, I think the RAW brand should try to continue with much of the same at Vengeance... They are already shaping up some pretty good feuds and the show could be great if the matches and the performers deliver... Time granted to certain matches is also definitely a factor... I didn't include Christian on my card assuming he will be one of the early trades to SmackDown!... There isn't much left for him on RAW... At this point, here is how I would go about booking Vengeance:

World Heavyweight Championship - HELL IN A CELL
Batista (champion) vs. Triple H

- This can be great... The I Quit match was phenominal between two less talented performers so this has potential since they certainly have more to work with... They will probably put the title back on HHH, but I'd definitely keep the belt on Batista after a 25-minute bloodbath with many spots... I wouldn't mind a swerve here, perhaps involving Flair... This match has the potential to blow (HHH-Nash, Taker-Bossman) and it has the potential to be great (Taker-Foley, Taker-HBK, HHH-Foley, HHH-Jericho)...

Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin (champion) vs. Chris Jericho

- Keep the title on Shelton yet again since his run has been great, but giving him the DQ win after Jericho attacks him with a chair after about 15 minutes of great action is a good idea... This would solidify the heel turn... If Jericho's heel turn starts out well, he doesn't really need the IC title and would be a good main event challenger... Shelton is doing good things with the title right now and he's immensely over due to his newfound ability...

World Tag-Team Championship
Hurricane & Rosey (champions) (w/Stacy Kiebler) vs. Muhammad Hassan & Daivari

- Hassan/Daivari is the best tag-team RAW has going for them at this point and taking the titles off Hurricane/Rosey is a good idea... Match obviously won't be anything special, but definitely a great way to get Hassan/Daivari over... There's no need to rush Hassan into a huge singles run right now... A tag-team with Daivari could be more beneficial at this point...

Grudge Match
Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle

- I wouldn't mind the first two people being drafted as Kurt Angle and Christian... Next, if SmackDown! could draft guys like Kane, Orton, HHH or HBK, it could help regenerate some big names for their roster... Angle needs to come to RAW, though... His sting on SmackDown! has run its course... There's no better way to prove the success of the draft than by having a WrestleMania rematch from last year... Give these guys about 15-20 minutes to put on a classic and the quality of the match will be enough to get both guys over, regardless of who wins... Angle seems like the logical choice, though... Angle-Shelton later in the year on a RAW PPV would be gold...

Grudge Match
Edge (w/Lita) vs. Kane

- I'd make this a gimmick match of some kind, but it may be too much with a HIAC match already on the card... Match could be all right, however I really hope Kane is traded since he's going on a downhill trend on RAW... Edge is clearly the better guy to put over since he is set for a big push, but this is also bad because it only further develops Kane's downhill trend... I wouldn't give this more than 15 minutes...

Special Challenge Match
Chris Masters vs. Viscera

- Both guys are getting over with their respective gimmicks and are getting a lot of TV time... Although they are both sub-par in the ring, the match could provide for some good comic relief and a it would be a decent filler on the card... They are better off not announcing this match in advance and simply have one of Masters' challenges answered... I'd give it about 5 minutes or so and put Masters over after some kind of distraction from Lilian or Maria... Seems to be what Viscera is currently involved in...

Special Challenge Match - IC Title Shot
Rob Conway vs. Charlie Haas

- I'd have Haas be one of the first drafts to RAW as well... Haas for Grenier is logical... Both are solid in-ring workers and giving these guys about 10 minutes could be a good way to get them over... Adding an IC title shot gives the match even more steam... I'd obviously put Haas over, however I'd definitely give Conway a good showing... Seems good to me... :-\

HEAT Match
Tajiri & William Regal vs. Maven & Simon Dean vs. Heart Throbs

- I'd put over any of the teams... Hopefully Tajiri goes to SmackDown! soon, thus making Regal-Eugene the permanent team... Either way, Dean/Maven seem like a logical way to go... Heart Throbs could use a decent win too, though... I wouldn't mind Tomko being involved in the HEAT match either... He deserves a run soon enough... He needs a tag partner, in my opinion, to shine this early in his career...

No, Triple H in yet another Hell In A Cell will not be great.

I'm not looking forward to another HHH-Batista match, to me the fued was dead after Mania.

Kane-Edge will be okay because of the heat with the Lita turn, but the match wont be great.

My guess is that the IC title match will be a 3 way with Hassan, Jericho and Benjamin, that way Hassan can win without beating Benjamin. Then you can do Hassan-Benjamin one on one at Summerslam.

Rest of the card will be filler, as nothing else has really been built, unless they do Christian-Flair.

There's nothing there that stands out as great matches, but its hard because I'm sure they'll have a few guys from SD on the show, and without knowing whose jumping its tough to call.

give this more than 15 minutes...

Special Challenge Match
Chris Masters vs. Viscera

- Both guys are getting over with their respective gimmicks and are getting a lot of TV time.--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you think Masters is getting over, you're a tad on the retarded side. Also, while Vis is entertaining on TV, Masters is nothing more than a waste of perfectly good steroids.

I think this PPV will suck.

HHH will win the title back, i can't see him losing 3 PPV's in a row, thus making Batista's rein as champion even more worthless.

I don't know about you but i don't think i can stand another HHH title run.

The tag-team titles should not change hands so soon as Rosey and the Hurricane haven't really had them long and swiching titles so quickly isn't the answer to wwe's problems especially to a doomed gimmic like Hussan's.

As for Angle Vs Benoit I wouldn't be surprised to see this on the PPV after all this is wwe booking.

Yeah lets put Benoit Vs Angle on the PPV with no build up whatsoever!!!!

Good idea

As great a match as this would be it does need build up for anyone to give a shit.

This PPV list just underlines the need need for new stars in the company, and a wwe without HHH in it, shame that this won't happen any time soon.

The only person thats being pushed correctly on raw at the moment is edge and i can't help feeling that maybe he's only being pushed for the wrong reasons, lets face it he hasn't exactly set the world on fire since coming back from his injury.

I agree with some of what you have said, only:

- Kurt Angle has BECOME SmackDown, they really CAN'T move him, since he's more or less one of THE guys that still keeps SmackDown together, like it or not. Sure the storyline they had him do with Booker T was subpar (though not as hard to get into as the Katie Vick one), but he is one of the main SmackDown draws, and without him, SmackDown would not only lose one of their main attractions, but yet ANOTHER main eventer, and they can't afford to lose any more...AT ALL!! Besides, if they get HBK to SD, we might be able to see the HBK vs. Angle rematch for Summerslam, and I would rather it be HBK going to SmackDown than Angle to RAW (remember the need for more big names on SD)! So I wouldn't expect a Benoit/Angle match....and just what Wrestlemania match between those two are you referring to?

- The reason why JBL/Cena kicked ass at Judgment Day was because it was still somewhat fresh, and it wasn't expected to be much, so they had the world in their hands (or at least the part f the world that was watching). Basically put, people still CARED about that match. With HHH/Batista, I am a Batista fan, too, but c'mon, people are starting to care less and less about the angle. Did you hear how dead the crowd was for the HIAC match being uddered on RAW on Monday? An overused gimmick match for an overdone feud. And WTF is up with the HHH still having to be THE guy on RAW again (and whatever help SD needs for main eventers, let's hope to GOD the WWE isn't thinking that HHH should be one of them. That will ruin SD even MORE!)? And the thing with Flair on RAW was absolutly ridiculous and disgusting from a non-kayfabe standpoint. Ruined the ENTIRE RAW show just by that 5 minutes. It was THAT awful of an ending. So what do you think the reception is going to be with this match coming up, and the fact that they have to spend at least one MONTH trying to hype this overdone crap up? Hyping something that no one WANTS to give a fuck about is flat-out IMPOSSIBLE to do, and yet, they do it just because HHH feels like torturing us once more.

- Vis is getting over, can't say the same for Masters. Damn shame, too, because a Masters is a complete waste of talent, as well. I look at the guy, and I think "this guy CAN be good, but his work ethic SUCKS!"
